Undisputed: Will the Cowboys have excuses not to make a deep playoff run?

Put it this way.
They can't beat 3 to 4 consecutive playoff level defenses, coaching staffs and QBs even while fully healthy.
This would require a year where the GM, HC and QB1 were able to out perform all their other playoff team peers at those positions.

Highly unlikely is probably an understatement.

They will continue to entertain though.
Keep watching and stay tuned, lol.

Fun to watch.
I loved that Dallas drama with JR Ewing back in the day.
They're like that. Jerry's a good J.R.

And the excuses will still be a flowing like water.

You get your takes from Shannon Sharpe and Cowturd and you think people take you seriously? :lmao: Dak obsessed troll.

Nobody takes this clown seriously. He's not even a Cowboys fan. He likes to troll and never give credit to the good play of some of the players on the Cowboys squad. "Fappin Dog" is also a coward when it comes to answering legit questions to back up his accusations.

His punk *** run and hide from proving his BS up against the knowledge of NFL professionals and cold hard facts when called out.

Even the weak minded trolls and cowardly serve a special purpose. If it wasn't for these types of fake fans/losers, we wouldn't have people to laugh at, kick around and make fun of.

They didn't make a run last year. This year, they have a first place schedule and more question marks on offense.

I'm not expecting a playoff run. I'm not even sure they're a playoff team.
I mean, I can see Philly winning the East.

But to think that they aren’t able to snag one of the wild cards is crazy. I find it hard to find 3 potential playoff teams that are that much better than Dallas.

Once again, they are banking on too many things to go right.

Well, I guess they need something to discuss, you know, for ratings and attention and stuff.

Did they discuss if TB will be worse off as they are missing more OL than us, trying to protect a Jurassic QB.
I lost track, but I believe TB is up to 3 starting OL injured now.

Sure is funny to me. No one likes Bayless and Sharpe yet this forum could be their fan site.

Sane for Cowherd and Smith.

Yes I believe 2 are out for the season, and a 3rd will or may miss the opener and a few other games.
I have not heard much lately if Godwin will be available at WR. And there is no Gronk for TB12 either. I guess they do have Julio.

But TB12 had "Personal" things going on...maybe it was "Personnel" instead?

Tom is hoping that Julio will fill the void of Gronk, and Im betting that he starts bugging Gronk to come back this season.

Well, it depends, when the "dislikers" agree with the bad things any of these shows mention, they are loving them. When they disagree with anything good, they say these guys are clowns. :lmao:

I see at least 4 teams who could beat out the Cowboys for a WC spot.

The Cowboys haven't made consecutive playoff appearances in 15 years. I don't think it's "crazy" to think it's possible that history could repeat itself.

Well, it is possible that 27 year cycle can repeat itself with a SB victory as well. :muttley:

I don't think they're a deep playoff team but at the same time I don't think they really have enough excuses.

Their defense especially if it keeps trending up will be amazing. Wide receiver is a possible excuse but to be honest they have a first rounder in Lamb, they have a 10 million tight end, and they have two running backs that are good at pass catching. Plus they have Gallup coming back sometime during the year who they paid good money for. It's not exactly scrub city

Their other excuse will be offensive line but we'll see how that excuse ages. The Packers won 13 games last year with four out of five of their starters out. Tampa Bay currently has 3 out of 5 out so if we not only lose to them but they also make the playoffs then it's not like we can cry about our offensive line when other teams are making do with it

Thats just a Doctors note to miss work, just a nice way of saying that heck no, Im not sweating all summer in camp.

I heard Arrington on a show saying that should piss the rest of the team off...I'm not sure if i was a player that would bother me to much...pretty sure he gets the benefit of doubt on being ready for a season.

Yep, and KC replaced their entire starting 5 OL and made the championship game. I said it on another thread, Dallas loses one starter on the OL and they look like the keystone cops on offense.

Yes, if this looks like another Chaz situation and "Next man up" "We do what we do" then I'm gonna want this coaching staff gone for sure.

With Jerry running things he is the perpetual excuse that transcends time.

He is the only constant that keeps us wallowing in the mud puddle of mediocrity always a couple puzzle pieces away from really competing in the tournament.

One playoff win and out is our ceiling adjust your expectations and just live with it no excuses necessary it just is what it is and that is just as good as it gets with Jerry running the show.

Excuses are for losers.

Put up or shut up.
Most Cowboy fans with any sense are shutting up, being picked about 5th- 7th in the NFC fighting for a playoff spot.

Mot sure why anyone but our owners hyping their product along with coaches and players would be asserting anymore than that. And of course the likely Homers every year.

More sound analysis would look at this year as a retooling season for the Cowboys after making all of the tough Cap moves this past offseason as we begin to groom our youth movement .

While we have some talent in place we still have many weaknesses and concerns heading into this season including our OL, WR’s . Our OL which could also impact our running and passing game .

Our defense is perhaps more hopeful of improvement. Will it be enough to overcome or compensate for any shortcomings or struggles offensively.
