Undrafted speedster Radway could catch on with Cowboys

If he can play football and make plays I don't care what school he went to.
You will find more guys who went to ACU in the pros than guys who went to Monmouth
That left a mark.

Anyway, my two cents right now would say we keep 5 of the following 7:

Miles Austin (lock...WR1)
Dez Bryant (lock...WR2)
Kevin Ogletree (lock...slot WR3 or WR4)
Dwayne Harris (ST, backup slot or outside)
Manual Johnson (ST, backup outside?)
Jesse Holley (ST, backup outside)
Raymond Radway (backup outside)

The other 4-5 guys in camp aren't going to make it.

But ask me again after a couple of pre-season games.

Wow, talk about some peg legs.

I know. Apparently, big leg muscles are overrated. Deion was the fastest dude ever and he also had pencil-thin legs. Cut through the air better. :laugh2:

I hope the best for him. I would love to have a tall guy with his speed.

You had him. His name was Roy Williams. Lateral quickness, the ability to change direction without losing speed is FAR more important IMO. Oh, and the ability to find the ball while it's in the air. Are you listening to me, Randal Williams, wherever you are?!?

I would say a safe bet for our 5 WR's is:

Miles
Dez
Ogletree
Harris
Radaway

If they like Radaway at all, he's going to have to make the team because now that Jerry opened his mouth about him, there's no way we'll be able to sneak him on the practice squad.

Manuel Johnson just hasn't shown enough and Holley brings nothing at WR and shouldn't take a roster spot from someone just because he's decent on ST.

Manny really shouldn't have much of a shot, other than blowing up in the preseason. Holley probably makes it because STs coach DeCamillis loves him. So they probably have to keep six for Radway to make it. Harris is probably pretty solid as the 4th wr.

Jerry Jones likes to hint about players who might make the roster.Reporters like to ask him to name names.

He usually doesn't.

But when Jones was talking about some of the undrafted free agents who have a chance to make the team, including a receiver or two, someone said, "Radway?"

The Cowboys owner said, "Yes."

That alone is a good sign for any rookie. But Raymond Radway is a rookie who has been playing football only the past two years, as a junior and senior in college.

I fully expect Rad and Harris both to make the cut....I see Holley as the odd man out this year

The less mass in the legs the easier it is for the quads and hamstrings to move the legs. Long thin legs and short thick muscular thighs are built for speed.

I couldn't agree more. Holley brings nothing to this team outside of decent ST's play. It would be a mistake to get rid of a guy with so much upside and potential like Radway.
