Uniform changes

Here are my proposed uniform changes. They're nothing major, but I think they're worth it.

1. Get rid of the green tint in the home pants. This is a relic of the needs of older TV sets. Make the home pants the same silvery blue as the away pants.
2. Numbers on the home jerseys should be made navy blue to match the star on the helmet, not royal blue.
3. Use grey numbers on the blue away jerseys like we did in the 90s. They look better than the white numbers.

That's it.

I think there is one issue which most Cowboys fans can agree on: Get rid of the green pants and wear silver ones.

Other than that, any mention of "changes to the uniforms" and many Cowboys fans go ballistic. They talk about how you shoudn't change the Yankees pinstripes and so forth...........

Why? They aren't part of the team's standard color pallet and it matches nothing. It's just random. Same with the light blue on the jerseys. Just completely random.

First off the royal blue is not random. The cowboys wore strickly royal blue from the start untik I think 1980. I personally hate the navy and wish they would go back to only royal. Also, I like the odd blue green and wish the helmet matched that color.

I know a lot of people will hate that idea, but I wouldn't be mad at all if they went that route, as long as it all matches.

You could add "standardize the blues" to that, I think.

Don't agree with #s 1 and 2.

Do agree with #3. I actually have a custom Russell Maryland jersey with those grey numbers on the blue jersey.

Since these changes are tweaks rather than radical changes, I don't expect people will spazz about them. Oh, I forgot one other change. Replace the star on the helmet with a picture of Dudley Doright and renamed the team the "Good Guys." Just kidding.

I kinda agree with #1 but I don't want the pants to be just plain silver. I disagree with #2 totally. I love how the navy star on the helmet contrasts against the royal blue jersey numbers. I totally agree with #3, going back to the early 90s road jerseys would be an early Christmas present.

We need a #4, ditch the throw-up/throwback clown uniforms (they aren't supposed to be navy anyway) and just bring back the '94 double star jersey for Thanksgiving day games and maybe a Monday night game now and then.

One last thing put the stripes back on the socks.

Absolutely agree. I loved those double-star jerseys, they still wore them in 2002 against the Commanders. Much better than the 1960s throwback ones the Cowboys wear these days.

Actually, they have been a part of the team's standard (official) color pallet for a while now. I admit, the color is unique, but I think it adds to the mystique. I understand why people don't like it, and am not arguing with those who don't, I just wanted to voice my preference...

Plain silver is not the answer for the home pants. There should always be a hint of blue in them. If you want to make the helmet silver blue like it was at one point (60's?), that's fine. You can even change the road pants to match, but plain silver pants at home? No.

You want an odd blue/green helmet??????

The frustrating thing is I think everyone wants these changes, but they haven't happened!
