I agree with you on the socks totally. But the silvery/greenish color on the pants was started in early 80s by Schramm, probably in '82 or '83. I wish Jerry would get rid of the current road navy jerseys and go back to the ones in the early 90s that had the silver numbers. These:

And wear these on Thanksgiving and 1 other game:

put a star on the sleeves over the stripes and I am cool with the blue ones.....I love the silver numbers.

Those white ones make me want to puke.

One of the coolest thing about the Cowboy's uniform is how they incorporated and have kept the old, little blue label with the player's name on the back of their helmet.

Please burn those drab, white uniforms; they look like a charitable donation. We should be wearing only our classy, white, Thanksgiving jerseys, with the star pattern on the sleeves. Why do we seldom wear our sleek silver jerseys? Why don't we have a blue and a white pair of pants? Why don't we modernize our uniforms a little? Give the star a slash of 2009 or paint the facemask Cowboys blue?

Oh my god, their standard white uniforms are so superior to those freaky thanksgiving ones you speak of

NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!

I never want the home whites even remotely modified with the exception of I would like to see Jethro make the numeral fonts like they were in the early 90s. Like this:

Loved those striped socks!

As opposed to this:

Not much difference but if you look at it closely the numerals look thinner especially on the shoulders not sure why Jethro changed the font, they were changed in '94 and the socks stripes were removed in '95. Not a big deal but the early 90s were my intro to really getting into the Cowboys and I thought their uni's never looked better than in that time period.

I want our navy "Double Star" jersey, our white "Double Star" jersey, our silver alternate jersey, and to wear our throwbacks sometimes.

Give me a break people, do you understand that less is more, and tradition matters?

No, less is less. Is 6 cans of soda more than 12 cans of soda? Modernizing our uniforms doesn't take away our history or tradition. We'd be the same Dallas Cowboys with a new and much better look.

Bad analogy. Sure, you increased the cans which a customer can purchase, but have you changed the flavor of the soda inside the cans? Nope, but let's say that you did. Let's pretend that your vision of modernizing the team's uniforms is equivalent to a Coca-Cola executive's vision of updating it's flagship product.

Your new R&D special task force creates New Coke!

The old R&D department guys says, "hmmm..."

Taste test time.

More Coke lovers prefers the original over the new one!

Coca-Cola executives scramble to decrease production of the new product in favor of moving old product back into stores. ~whew!~ But don't worry.

Eventually, newer generations of Coke drinkers will embrace New Coke over its older version and take over the franchise. Not because their taste buds have evolved, but because they adapted to drinking soft drinks with less flavor over than those with more flavor. It happens.

What else would explain the explosion of bland-tasting Diet Coke? The taste? Yeah right.

:)

The NFL requires at least one or two years notice before a team can change uniforms.

cheers, that would save an absolute fortune!!! or at least it would have when i was younger and still felt the need to go out and buy the new top as soon as it came out rather than wearing an old top to go to the games. also means my cowboys top is good for another few years :)
