How is it that Green Bay can wear two different helmets during the season, but the Cowboys can't wear their white helmets with the blue star? Can someone explain this.

I bet they aren't really literally the same helmets, though. It's a ridiculous rule to me. There has to be some way the Cowboys can use the same style helmet but in white instead of silver. Is the point that the helmets have to be "broken in"? If that's the case, what about the first game of the season? I don't get it.

No, they are the same helmets the Packers have been using since training camp and the pre-season. That is when they begin the breaking in process. It may be a dumb rule, but that is what happens when the league is having to deal with major lawsuits for head injuries.

I think they are. Why else would they switch from the typical dark helmets they wear with the throwbacks. Same goes for the steelers with their prison unis. Used to be yellow helmets, but this year they were the normal black ones.

Besides, not every player has the same style of helmet.

It's just a PR move for the NFL to look like they took precautions to prevent concussions.

Speaking of GBs helmets always reminds me of the time Favre stole Rodgers helmet out of his locker, and then had some lady ask I'm to sign before practice started, and he had to play all practice with his own signature on his hat.

Ugly uniforms the pack had, but made no difference on outcome, they could of come out in pajamas lol
It would be cool to see the Cowboys with a TB uniform and White Helmet..

College? I was at a Cal Poly Long Beach high school playoff game the last two weeks and they change unis and helmets every week!

Of course Antonio Pierce (Giants) is the head coach TJ Who's Your Daddy is an assistant and Snoop Dog is one of their sponsors. Last week on their sidelines was Desean Jackson, this week Willie McGinnest and Mercedes Lewis.

Lots of resources from the alumns.

I never understood the deal with the white throwback helmets. Were they somehow not up to safety standards? If not, why couldn't they be made up to par?
