When did Stephen Jones say that?

Maybe there is a Gawd :laugh1: .

I have seen him on special edition with Brad sham on a number of occassions over the last 6 years say he was not his father.

He has told norm many times on the radio that he stands up to his dad and has a different idea of how to do things. Actually norm breaks his chops about it now and then.

Stephen strikes me as someone who does not crave the credit or the limelight. He's more of a true businessman than one who also moonlights as a sideshow barker.

well he played football at arkansas like his dad, he has a degree in chemical engineering and he has been in the nfl business as long as his dad has.

I am pretty sure from listening to him for the past 6 years pretty closely that he doesnt confuse himself with Bill Belichick, which can only be a plus for us at some point.

In '95, Stephen was opposed to bringing Deion Sanders in because it would contribute to salary cap hell. Reportedly he and Jerry fought (verbally) about it, and it became really heated. Obviously, Jerry won out, but Stephen does stand up to him.

He also got into an argument with his Dad over the Galloway trade telling him it was a stupid mistake on picks and money

Dad over ruled Stephen makes Dad look stupid

Stephen could quit and never return or take after another pathetic wanna-be-owner George Steingrabber's kids..... go play with race horses and whatever until daddy is in diapers. Then hire people whose entire life is the sport and let them run the club.

Each day Stephen stays in Valley Ranch makes him that much more culpable, clueless and part of the problem not a solution.

Yeah. Stephen is not crazy/feebleminded like some posters here, why would he do something stupid like that?

Espescially when there is no need to, now if Jerry was Al Davis then I would say do it.

Jerry knows what he is doing.

So he's ruining the team on purpose?

because it just didn't seem like Jerry. He's never had a connection to the Landry Cowboys and he's always been resistant to outside help

How do you explain Calvin Hill roaming the sidelines for the past 8-10 years then?

to his dad. The Cowboys are a sinking ship. I really believe Stephen know his father has lost his way on running this organization.

Since when does Stephen Jones have any orginizational clout?

Of wait...

He doesn't. Jerry is still alive.

Talking with agents and negotiating contracts, is far from clout.

Clout is what Jerry has and it's obvious he isnt ready to relinquish that anytime soon.

When Jerry becomes George, Stephen will become Hank/Hal.

Unitl then, you like others can pray for a coup d' etat and inevitably be stuck with Jerry.

Insert your foot.

You actually think Stephen Jones has no "clout" in the Dallas Cowboys Organization?

Furthermore, talking to Agents, signing contracts and help "manage" the Salary Cap isn't something to sneeze at.

What's so funny? With TO and Michael having their own reality TV shows, JJ will top them all with his own Valley Ranch reality show - he will be making money - and to him, that ain't far fetched....:bang2:
