While I support Dak and think he can be our franchise QB I thought it would be fun to play what if. Now the unrealistic part is most likely in FA and draft..

Would let a team sign David Irving for second round pick.
Trade Cooper Rush or Dak Prescott (the other will be backup) for 3rd round pick.
Draft......
1. Courtland Sutton WR.
I have Sutton making it to 19 only because Ridley goes to the Bears and Kirk comes off the board as 2nd receiver. Sutton is a big bodied receiver with some very good speed. Has a huge catch radius but sometimes turns his hands in when catching the ball instead of out. Will be groomed to take over for Dez as number 1 guy.
TRADE.
Dallas moves back up into the first round by trading their 2nd, 4th, next year's 3rd and Cole Beasley.
1. Baker Mayfield QB.
Dallas sees Mayfield drop and decides he is the future if the Cowboys. Mayfield plays with swagger and is very dangerous on 3rd down....... No matter the distance. Has a great feel in the pocket and can move around, avoiding tackles while keeping his head up to hit a open guy. Reads defense pre snap and handles the blitz well. Maybe the best thing about him is there ability to throw receivers open.
2. Equanimeous St. Brown WR.
I know drafting Sutton in the first would make this pick a head scratcher but we need to revamp the entire receiving corps. Noah Brown and Ryan Switzer are good pieces to keep. St. Brown would give us another huge receiver to pair with Sutton. Both have great speed and can make plays. Dez days are numbered and now the receiver corps is a strength.
3. (From Dak trade) Troy Fumagalli TE
Witten is going to retire soon and we need a replacement. Fumagalli is a dangerous receiving threat that runs very good routes and has speed and athleticism to stretch defenses. He is a very decent blocker as well, could get better but one of the better blocking TEs as well.
4. Andre Dillard OT.
Dillard has very quick feet and can get to the second level. Good in pass and run blocking. Will be day 1 swing tackle and could be a starter if Tyron can't stay healthy. It's lighting fast out of his stance but can also play with strength.
Comp. 4th. Bo Scarborough RB
I'm not sure if he makes it this far, the same with Dillard, and we know guys will rise and fall, so for now Walter football and draft site were my references.......Scarborough makes it to the 4th so Dallas takes him. Bo is a solid work horse back, has good size and runs with power. Can be the lead back if Zeke is hurt or suspended and will complement Rod well.
TRADE 6th, 7th and 6th next year to move back up into the 5th round.
5th. Jaylin Ferguson DE
Has great skills as a pass rusher and huge potential for development.
Comp. 5th Shaquim Griffin LB
Has all the tools to be really good in the NFL. Adding more talent to the line backers is very important and being able to learn under Lee will do wonders.
Comp 5th Larry Allen OG
Needs to put in more weight and being he won't be asked to start right away he has time to build up.
