Probably Bradford...

I understand the knocks against Clausen -- the pampering etc. But I watched the kid play a lot. I love the passion, the fire and he's tough. He got the hell beat out of him his freshman year and just kept getting better.

I would not be opposed to dangling Okung to SF, and snagging one, if not both, of their 1sts. I may also be smoking so really good crack with that one :)

You're right you're smoking some really good crack cause the Niners aren't giving you both their first rounders to move up and get Okung. Especially when there is so much OL depth out there this year that they can get some really solid help, and the safety help they need, by sitting pat.

As for Bradford the big knock on him, and question, has always been rather he can take a beating. If the Commanders are able to land a couple of these FA O-Lineman they're after, to make their O-Line better, that concern goes away to some degree.

If these guys don't workout, or seriously upgrade that awful O-Line play however then I'll be shocked if Bradford makes it through the month of September there.

Of course I don't think that's going to matter cause that's likely going to be the Rams problem who i believe are going to take him and they're going to watch as he's on the bench before September is over with another broken shoulder cause their O-Line play is also absolutely awful.

The thing to remember about that though, is that for about 25 years of that, few QBs did because it was a run to set up the pass league. 24 TDs or not, I'd have to say Sonny and Joe were star QBs. I hated 'em both, but they were stars.

Ripen was a star....for a year.

Here is the difference between Allen/Shannahan over Vinny. Clifton is exactly that: A stopgap replacement for Samules. There is no doubt in my mind the backups this year will be 2nd and 3rd round picks (I'd say a 1st round pick, but I am pretty sure we're going QB) Not garbage picked up off the scrap heap and them attempted to be sold as diamonds.

With anything else, it comes down to wins, if this new method works then fine, if they go 4-12 again, I see Danny having very little patience.

Per Ravens Insider on Twitter

Free agent tackle Tony Pashos on his way to visit the Commanders, per a league source.

Clifton would be LT, Pashos RT. Fill 2 needs immediatley but can still draft more o-lineman

Well, scratch Clifton from your wish list... he's staying with the Pack, 3 years for around 20 million... and I keep hearing that the Niners have told Pashos to get some offers, then get back to them, that they'd really like to re-sign him...

And for yet another update courtesy of KFFL, the Skins are bringing OL Artis Hicks in for a visit, and LB Larry Foote... and the Washington Post is reporting on internet reports that they're interested in Sexy Rexy Grossman... why, I couldn't tell you... :D

I know you'd like to think that, Sonny (and it makes good sense), but their apparent interest in Wiegmann seems to suggest otherwise... it could be argued that Casey was the worst center in the league last year, I can't begin to understand why they'd be interested in him...

Now, the other players they're being linked to these days make some sense to me...

:rolleyes:Yeah, let's absolve Snyder from all the blame.

Rex was a backup with the Texans last year, where Kyle Shanahan was OC.

Nothing more then a backup QB who would know the system.

As far as the lineman are concerned, the o-line the Commanders fielded from late October on was not an NFL caliber o-line. While a lot of the guys the team is going after are old and past their prime, they are at least NFL worthy o-lineman who can play football and won't get the QB killed on a 3 step drop.

That in itself would be huge improvement :)

It was VINNY in front of the cameras running his mouth, not Snyder. And if Snyder stays in the background, I will absolve him from all blame.

Hey -- weren't the Commanders supposed to sign everyone and anyone? What happened?? Didn't you "call" it?

I don't know if Joe Theisman was a star. When I think of a star, I think of Jupiter.

Well, they re-signed Rabach so Weigmann would be depth. Also we would lead the league in Centers named "Casey"

Weigmann, Grossman -- its not uncommon for new HCs and OCs to bring in players that know the system...
