Can one of those guys turn into a solid vet or more than that yes but lets not go overboard on rue because I seen a lot of rueage blow up in the fans face.

Including the CB that was like a dog chasing cars all the rue Dallas was going to incur for Bill cutting him.

Not a huge McGee fan, or keeping a 3rd QB in general when you have a high end #2, but McGee did give the Cowboys a fighting chance to win the game when he filled in against the Cardinals in 2010.

Cutting Coale and Hamilton doesn't really bother me that much. I liked Coale, but non-elite receivers are a dime a dozen and can be had most years on Day 3 or as UDFA. For every late round pick like Coale, there are a number of UDFA's that can be had to compete with him (cf. Beasley, Holmes, Benford, Radway, etc).

Hamilton has a lot of potential as a situational pass rusher, but he doesn't look ready to handle all the responsibilities of an OLB in our system. Plus, he's older. He'll turn 25 in November, which means that by the time he's ready to contribute, you'll only get a few good years out of him.

I have to say that I love how folks are ready to throw the season on the junkpile because of a couple of bottom of the roster decisions. Overreact much?

Anyone who thought any of the cuts were going to be the difference between winning and losing this year has lost touch with reality...and that's difficult considering he's actually on these forums.

No I just don't get the thinking, if they would explain it that would help. What is the point of keeping McGee? If every player was 100% healthy for all 16 games and McGee was our starter we would be picking #1, or 2 next draft.

It's the same line of thinking of keeping two kickers.

It's not like I think that the 52-53 guy is going to play, but it's about potential. McGee has none.

Not sure what they are seeing in McGee, he doesnt have the upside to justify wasting the roster spot in my opinion. Cut your losses and move on.

It's not official yet, but Rapoport reported on Twitter that he's "hearing" that's the case. Hope he's wrong, like he has been before when he's reported some of his "I'm hearing" rumors.

Guess we'll all know for sure tomorrow.

I'd like to think we won't waste a roster spot on a complete bum like McGee any longer. Olawale too. These guys are camp bodies.

He offers nothing we need and waste a roster spot on a player we could maybe take a closer look at .....Like maybe a Coale.

McGee may be athletic....runs well for a QB....but his decisions on when to throw....is highschool material......I felt bad for some of the WR's last nite because he was so late on his throws....or he completely missed a open route.

Havent we seen enough of this guy....seriously? This isnt another Moore who started a few games as a NFL QB....but will be a career backup. McGee IMHO will never start for a NFL team.

Sorry for the Rant....but it just doesnt make any sense and the only thing I can come up with ....its because JG was a former QB and has a soft spot for that position.

Sounds like the inability to play special teams really doomed Hamilton. Hard for 8th or 9th LBs to make it in the NFL when they don't play special teams. I also wonder if his knee injury he's been battling through isn't a degenerative cartilage issue.

How can a guy like that not contribute on special teams it blows my mine that some guys can not contribute on special teams.

It would have been all 22, but Romo took off for a vacation in Cabo and they haven't been able to contact him yet.

The depth there is terrible.

No idea why we kept Olawale and got rid of Coale after one TC.
