SAY NO TO PETERSON.

Also, if the fagskins land Quinn they would have the best 34 OLBs in the NFL. No thanks. We better pick Quinn just so Washington don't get him, plus he somewhat fills a need.

I would rather make a pick to help us than worry about picking someone to block another team. besides were not good enough to do that.

but i would take quinn because he is a beast and he would make our d even better.

You're on a roll... so true.

I'll never be upset about winning, but some folks like to make it seem as if beating the Eagles second and third-teamers was a franchise changing moment for us.

I will never understand people who would rather win a meaningless game than lose and improve draft position...

My stance has always been, if we're not going to make the playoffs then losing a few games at the end of the season is better for the future.

I thought Quinn projected as a DE in the 3-4?

Any trade up depends on the CBA getting done before the draft.

With no CBA there is no FA before the draft so picks become a premium and I believe you can't trade a player for a pick.

I'd move up for Peterson but I'd do it with next years 2nd round pick.

totally agree with the above, if anything, this is an ideal situation for us to trade down and pick up an extra second or third rounder who could potentially start on day 1 along either the OL or secondary. Peterson would be nice but I think better S play and a better scheme will do more than one good CB. A good FS, which we could get much later than the 9 pick, would also push Ball back to CB which adds to our depth. We also have McCann coming back and likely coming on. I know Newman is old but Jenkins, Scandrick, Ball, and McCann isn't a bad rotation if the S's play well. Sure, it'd be nice to get one more really good CB, but IMO its a luxury. Meanwhile the OL is in a more desperate situation with S following that.

If I were Buffalo I would take Newton or Mallett because they both have physical traits that can combat bad weather.

No shock if either were selected.

I just can't see them selecting a CB with their pick.

DL yeah. Quinn– Very possibly. But not a corner.

You would have a point if we were talking about Aj Green. But Quinn somewhat fills a need and prevents our biggest rival from being that much better.

He does, but I'm sure he would do just fine standing up aswell. Dudes explosive.

And we would be potentially even worse in coverage, no thanks.

robert quinn projects as a 3-4 olb. At 265 he most certyainly would not hold up at de for long.

A 3rd this year & a 4th next year is too much for us to give up just to move up from 9th to 6th to grab Peterson. I don't believe our need at CB is as great as needs at other positions so don't want to sacrifice our those picks to move up.

I have been doing a mock draft with a family member for 15 years and I have been 90% correct with the first 10 picks since the last 5 years...Please let me know what you think.

Carolina Panthers: Nick Fairley – DT Auburn
2. Denver Broncos: Da’Quan Bowers – DE Clemson
3. Buffalo Bills: Blaine Gabbert – QB Missouri
4. Cincinnati Bengals: AJ Green – WR Georgia
5. Arizona Cardinals: Von Miller- OLB Texas AM
6. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Peterson – CB LSU
Cleveland trades their 6 pick to Dallas and in return the Cleveland receives Dallas 9th pick, Dallas third round 2011 and 4th 2012.
7. 49er’s: 9er’s were eyeballing Peterson, so Dallas moves up 3 slots and snagged 4’9ers pick. The 4’9ers selects Marcel Daruis – DT Alabama
8. Titans: Cam Newton – QB Auburn
9. Browns: Julio Jones – WR Alabama..After making trade with Dallas, Browns still gets their man.
10. Commanders: Robert Quinn – OLB/DE..This is too high to draft Mallett so Commanders improves their 3-4 defense by selecting Quinn.
Ineresting mock, except for the trade.
Could you imagine the howling around here by those that say they should not have won the final game?:laugh2:

Uh, no.
No way we make that trade. FWIW, the trade value is not so far off though.

Really? Quinn is a 3-4 DE?

You are going to take a hit to your 90% rating with this draft imho.

Dallas is not trading up period.

And Peterson will go top 3. I suspect he goes 2 to Denver. He is a Bailey clone from the same part of the country.

QBs are hard to figure to be sure but I don't see more than 1 in the top 10 sadly. This is not a stellar group of QBs.

I am guessing the Bills fell in love with some prospects on the south squad while coaching them. Wouldn't shock me if they traded down a bit themselves to add talent they saw at the SB.

IMHO Fairley, Bowers and Peterson are 100% the top 3 gone.

God, what an awful year to be drafting in the top 10. The QBs carry second-round grades and the number one player overall had only one year of production. Many a bust has come off of one good year.

p.s. Reading that trade-up for Peterson made me queazy. Please no.
