Updated scenario please?

Actually only 10 minutes left in OT, if they tie, then Tampa wins next week (which they certainly will), we'd be in with a win and either a Commanders loss or a Carolina loss.

if ATL wins, then there are 2 9 win and 1 10 win team in the South.

ATL and Car will be a big game then.

if tampa wins, there are still other ways. If tampa wins, and they win next week, and Atlanta wins next week, we just need to win.

WHAT HAPPENS? DO Wins COME INTO PLAY OR TIEBREAKERS STILL ACCOUNT

TB has to lose twice (today and next week) because they hold the tiebreaker over us.

Otherwise, we need Washington to lose next week.

(either case is assuming we win against STL)

Does anyone know for sure. I've seen about 23423423 scenarios.
No kidding.

I was under the impression that we needed us, the Giants and TB to win today. That was a scenario that I saw earlier.

If Atl. loses, they are out of the playoffs....one more team we wouldn't have to worry about.

Now, it looks like we need Atl. to win. What the........

Now that Tampa has won.....what is the deal.

Don't post if you just "think" you know. Post if you DO know.

Adamjt?

Well Tampa won. This is it: we own the tie-breaker over Carolina, but not Tampa. We need to win next week and for either Washington or Carolina to lose. That's it.

We need the Deadskins to lose and to win IMO to make it almost for sure. There's probably other ways it but my brain is fried enough from Christmas crap anyway.

and both Carolina and Washington will play teams that have nothing to play for (ATL/PHI). Not to mention Philly has pretty much given up and can't wait for the season to end. As much as they hate Washington, I can't imagine them wanting to do us any favors. Oh well at least we have one more week and are not completely out of it yet.

well what about minnesota? where do they stand? do they own the tie breaker over us?

I'm actually hoping all the NFC teams that are in contention make it... will make for a much better playoff scheme if we can get in.. as opposed to playing teams you've never seen on the field yet..

Here's the deal:

1. Dallas must win (obviously) and

2. A Washington loss (in Philly) or a Carolina loss (in Atlanta).

We need help. Root for Philly (gulp!) or Ron Mexico (gulp!)
