Updates and bits

lol on ol’ Schotty changing the culture. To impact this teams culture, you must possess full authority to hire and fire your staff and hire and fire players. Ol’ Schotty has no authority over either one. Explain to me how a toothless figurehead “head coach” establishes a new culture when all players and coaches answer directly to Jerry.
I would but it would obviously be over your head.

You perceive that the organization is serious about finally changing the coaching and that the current coach will be the one to do it?
No, I hope that’s the case and all signs point to that being true. Meanwhile, you give them no chance to do anything and anything they DO accomplish you’ll crap all over it as usual.

Wash rinse repeat every 4 to 5 years.

Go back to MM
Go back to Garrett
Go back to Wade

Something in first year.

Not being negative but it feels.like ground hog day. I will wait for the results which is the ultimate measure. Everything else is blah blah blah
You’re one of the most negative posters here. :lmao:

Good Post, Hopefully the Culture Change will bring with it some much needed disapline, penalties killed this team during the McCarthy era.It is hard to be successful is this league if you lead the league in penalties, this must improve.
Yeah, penalties under MM were just unacceptable. It’ll be refreshing to not hear, “It’s like anything else…..” from MM.

Fans: culture sucks. Change it

Team: we recognize the need to change the culture so we’re trying to do that

Fans: only suckers think culture change means anything

You guys are the most miserable lot imaginable
I think the issue here is that we have heard stuff like this for years and years and years. Every offseason presents a new opportunity for Jerry and the Cowboys to gaslight the fanbase about how they've changed and how things are different and how this year will be different.

Most of the fanbase has reached the point that words don't matter anymore, show us. So when the Cowboys come out with the full court press in the offseason about how important culture is and how they are changing it, many fans collectively yawn because they are tired of being duped again.

Don't spend all offseason on a PR campaign about the culture. It's meaningless. Show us the culture change when camp and the season starts. Because if you go out there and start 2-5 and the season ends up being another in a long line of duds, most will not (and should not) care what they said on June 5th.

Do you not realize that you constantly whine about others whining?....thats not being " in between"

Confucius said, "Do not impose upon others that which you yourself do not desire"
I tell the truth. I tell about fans turning positives into negatives, then constantly whine about it ad nauseam.

Look at your own posts.
What does this even mean?

He's right. Anyone that puts value in what comes out of The Star at this point needs their heads examined.

Let's be honest and call this what it is - Jerry's annual everything is great media blitz that we get each offseason.

Maybe Shotty will be great. Maybe the culture really will change. Maybe we'll surprise and go on a long run this year. But at the end of the day, what they say in June doesn't matter and many fans are growing tired of hearing the self-platitudes from the Cowboys each offseason.

who is whinning. the problem with folks like you have sunshine up their rear end 24x7, is when they see somebody speak reality, they call it whining and negativity...

you are like that character in lego movie. ...."everything is awsome"...
Once again, you have comprehension issue.
I am critical when needed. I just do not be constantly negative.

You are the opposite, everything sucks. You would be one of the ones compiling that the other team lost the SB, not Dallas winning it.

LOL.

30 years of failure will create more negativity then positivity.

Imagine if you were at your job for 30 years, seen 10 different supervisors but the same President, and the new Supervisor comes in and says "I swear things are going to be different this time."

Would you be apprehensive and want to see it instead of hear it?
That is not the point. But you and others will disregard the logical aspect of being a fan, going into the new season. and anything positive that it may improve.
So I will not explain this concept, as it is above you-all's heads.

And I have worked at companies, that switch CEO's and managers, and yet nothing changed.
I was there to do my job, and I did it well. I was paid well for it. I knew nothing washing to change. But I held my head up and still worked hard. I did not give up, not be depressed or whine constantly.

Houston is just behind San Antonio as the leading source for federal injury related crimes, in the Nation...

LOL, there is nothing logical about pretending the past hasn't happened and that things are different now simply because they said they are different.

And also, fan doesn't mean someone who continually ignores reality each and every offseason. Fans can be pragmatic and real with themselves and admit, at this point, this franchise has given fans no reason to believe anything they say at this point. That at the end of the day, fans are tired of hearing them talk about how things changed and are different. They are now firmly in the show us phase.

tell me what doesn't suck? lets start there. then build a column for everything that sucks..

This part is the part lacking in some of the players on this team.

They show up expecting to win because they are the Cowboys and they showed up. Wonder where they got that idea?

Also, its not above my head. Its quite apparent that you refuse to acknowledge the entirety of the fan base that isn't die hard homer year in year out. So obviously. Reality, logic, reason and the fact that this ownership and front office are the cause of these "negative nancies" goes over your head.

No, that wouldn’t be me. But tell yourself whatever you like. You’re already miserable enough.
I am not misrable. in fact I can't be happier. I have chosen to see reality and the truth.

you have chosen to believe everything that's sold, and then at the end of season only to worry about coming up with reasons and excuses and try to pump yourself back up.

I chose to live in reality. not fantasy. therein lies the differrence between you and I.
