There is the possibility that Jones could make someone a part time GM and Keep Garrett and say something like "I realize I needed to give Garrett more tools to work with going forward to better utilize our talent and he will definitely be given those tools and more input into all things Cowboys"

The Cowboys may not be the only team interested in Meyer. As JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington tweets, Meyer is at FedEx field for the Commanders‘ contest against the Eagles today, and Washington would love to land Meyer as its next HC. Meyer, of course, served as Dwayne Haskins‘ head coach at Ohio State, but it seems like the Commanders don’t really meet Meyer’s criteria for coming out of retirement.
