What transpired since May to the drop the team 10 spots? Is this guy tight with Farniok? Does he think the season hinged on Overshown making a dozen tackles a game?

I've seen some crazy prognostications on this site from the forum members, but I'm at a loss on this one.
I know…

Right?

Its a safer passive aggressive way for them guys to say they are scared to rank us high because of the so called "accident waiting to happened".

I think this pretty right on. We have no oline depth, no lb depth and we do not have a number one rb. Pollard is a 2 and dowdle should be practice squad. Not to mention mister INT. Aka Dakota Prescott
I can't decide on  or !!!!!!!!!

As someone that's been working in publishing and directly works with USA Today's curating staff for years...brilliant ranking.

There's a story every way you slice it.

If the prediction is true: Look at us! We're the leaders in sports analysis, we had it right where others had it wrong. Right in the middle! Does this put McCarthy on the hot seat? Is Prescott looking over the shoulder for Lance? Has Jerry's patience worn thin? Stay tuned!

If the Cowboys underperform the rank: Wow, look at us, we're the leaders in sports analysis! Others said they'd be contenders, but we saw the writing on the wall, it was just even worse. McCarthy in the hot seat? Prescott looking over the shoulder for Lance? Has Jerry's patience worn thin? Stay tuned!

If the Cowboys outperform: Wow, what a story! We were doubters but hey we had them at six earlier so we really knew all along! We're the leaders in sports analysis! Can the Cowboys finally get over the hump? Will McCarthy be on the hot seat if they can't? Is Prescott looking over his shoulder for Lance if they can't at least make the Championship game? Has Jerry's patience worn thin? Stay Tuned!

Nate Davis of USA Today has had too many concussions. Here’s his rankings:

1. Chiefs
2. Eagles
3. Bengals
4. 49ers
5. Bills
6. Jets
7. Steelers
8. Ravens
9. Jags
10. Saints
11. Lions
12. Seahawks
13. Browns
14. Chargers
15. Dolphins
16. Cowboys (previous rank #6)

He’s got them dropping 10 spots from May until a few days before the first game.

Am I missing something here? He’s also got us at 9-8 on the season.

I’m not the most optimistic on this forum but this is just wrong.

Everyone is going in strong on teams like the Steelers, Ravens, Saints, Seahawks and Chargers. I don't see it but nothing is more useless than a week one power ranking.

No OL depth with starters who get injured every year or are coming off injury, an overated center, RBs who are unproven and poor pass protectors, a QB who requires clean pockets, and a tough schedule. There's something going on that Vegas and the talking heads don't like,,, even if Newy Scruggs thinks they're 10-7 at best.

Personally I think with some luck on OL injuries and hitting on these rag-tag backups the team could do much better,,,

Small correction. Derek Carr is the QB for the Saints. Not much better but still

LOL.

When he said he thinks the team will miss Elliott more than they realize, that was when I realized he'd gone off his rocker. What's equally dumb about his take is when he ranked them 6th, Schultz, Elliott and Moore, three guys he says we will really miss, weren't on the team then either. So...........................

1)USA Today?!?
2)Saints, Browns, Steelers, Seahawks?!?
3)How many other teams won more than 24 games the past two years?
4)Power Rankings are just useless opinions. Everyone’s got one.
5)USA Today?!?

I have them at 10-7 as well with the tough schedule ahead of them.

You guys are so gullible. They play the game on the field. Look at KC, they got beat. Dallas could get beat too if they play like that. Take it one game at a time. The last things the players should do is read press clippings or even texts; they should be focused on their task at hand... why do you think they put blinkers or side blinders on racehorses.? That's right, keep them from being distracted.

USA Today leans a certain way. Says all I need to know or care about their Dallas Cowboys opinions.
