great post percy thanks for sharingThis article was buried inside a different article in another thread. It deserves better.
At the start of the play, Prescott is keying in on Hall, who’s sitting right in that passing lane. Hall is the one guy Prescott has to beat to make this throw possible.
What happens next is why I think Prescott is going to be very good. Prescott toys with Hall using just his eyes. He wants Bryant for the first down all the way but looks at Witten to the right. That gets Hall moving that way.
Then his eyes move back to the left, that gets Hall running toward Elliott. It’s like Prescott has control over Hall’s mind.

Really? Did Romo read them as well as Dak in his rookie season?
I'd love to be in the film room for the Commanders when they are breaking down this play and watching Hall bounce around like a pinball trying to decide who to cover.Complete ownage.
Best part is the way Hall keeps changing directions like a confused ant.
Hall did exactly what he was supposed to do on that play. The whole bit about Dak using his eyes to make Hall run around in circles is hogwash.
Again, Dak made a good read and a good throw, but the article makes it sound like he was using some type of jedi mind tricks. He wasn't. He was ... GASP! ... taking what the defense gave him.
Give Dak the keys to the 87 octane fueled Ferrari Enzo and don't look back!

Romo couldn't get on the 53 in his rookie season, but nice try. That's a good question. My guess from anecdotal memory is yes and a bit better. But that's been awhile so take that with a grain of salt......and two placeboes then call me in the morning.

Looks like he saw the FS float to the deep middle and Hall come up to the box, so he immediately recognized with the corners playing off it as a likely cover 3, then adjusted to a route combination that can beat the cover 3. Good read, good adjustment, good throw. I didn't think the look to Witten really did much, given that would have been Hall's principal responsibility in a cover 3, regardless.
