Yeah, it was a great game. We should have AT LEAST 2 more goals. The misses by Ching and Beasley were inexcusable.

I watched it at a friends house who is from Mexico... he was putting a full-court-press on my 6-year old the whole time to root for Mexico, but the little guy held out and rooted his butt off for the USA! :D

I didn't watch any of the other Gold Cup matches, but my friend said the mexican keeper played out of his mind... much better than he had played throughout the rest of the tourney.

Anyway, great win for the USA... that makes about 5 in a row over Mexico, right?

yea, their keeper was tremendous today, and you are right...we should have had 2 more goals easy. crazy that they missed those.

mexico flops unbelievably, so i was happy when we got the PK.

not sure what the streak is, but we own mexico.

I was at the game proudly wearing a US Flag sitting behind the net all 3 goals were scored on. One of the few in a sea of thousands of Mexicans, who were truly out of control. I have a huge, huge dislike of them after seeing some of the behavior yesterday. The only thing that matters is the score, but I am still seething that they could treat Americans so terribly, yet have no problem living off the land of the free.

I went to a Mexico vs. US friendly a few years back in Houston at Reliant Stadium. Everyone I encountered on both sides were very civilized and had lots of fun. My friend was draped in a US flag and I was draped in a Texas flag. Many Mexico fans came up to us wanting to get pictures together. It was very cool.

We were showered with beer the entire game, the fans littered on our field, threw projectiles at our players, even when they were doing their victory lap around the stadium, and I saw numerous fights being started by Jose Ortega and his crunchy shell taco compadres. I even saw Mexicans blatantly cut in a beer line and then try to start trouble with the vendor when he told them to go to the back. I have been to my share of US soccer games and never had a problem with any of the opposing fans, yesterday was a disgrace.

Yea, throw beer at my American flag. The land you are living in and making a living in because you diddn't like life back in the motherland. Ungrateful foreigners.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. There's always gonna be a group of ignorant individuals who ruin it for everyone. I really hope you don't think ALL Mexican people are "crunchy shell taco compadres."

It was a pretty good experience overall, I was just disgusted by the Mexicants behavior towards everything but themselves.

The next time Mexico plays a game on US soil, they (the fans) need to sit behind a large barbwire fence the way they do in their homeland. If you saw the punishment the referee took while leaving the field, you would agree.

I like your new Avatar! :D

I thought that post I made in the other thread went ignored altogether! Good to know someone enjoys good unicorn-on-dolphin action!
