The Dallas Cowboys (1-2) and Cleveland Browns (2-1) go to battle on Sunday afternoon, and there’s plenty at stake for both teams. Fans have seemingly been comforted by the fact that the NFC East has been terrible so far, with only the Washington Football Team able to win a game. The counter, of course, is that Dallas has failed to separate from a bad division, including the early-season struggles of the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, they are already 2.5 games off the pace for the No. 1 seed and the only bye week in the NFC.
In order to affect change, the defense and special teams are going to have to improve, but the onus is obviously on the Cowboys’ offense to play near perfectly. Fortunately, they have the talent to do so. In this game, however, they could be looking at their match when it comes to skill-position skills. The Browns have just as much talent at the RB-WR-TE positions as any team in the league.
Is there a difference in quarterback? Obviously Dak Prescott gives Dallas an edge in being able to capitalize on the talent at his disposal as opposed to maligned former No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield. But how would we handicap each of the targets as far as they have played in 2020? Here’s our view of how each of the talents would be ranked.
