USC vs ND

That wasn't Quinn's fault, McNight simply dropped the pass.

Don't you know Quinn is suppose to throw it and catch it for McKnight?

We are talking about the option call that took it from 3rd and 1 to 4th and 4.

In an effort to save this thread by discussing at least one QB who doesnt suck it up in big games....

Worked out well for them. Great playcall.

A non option team...yeah I suppose they just created that play just before the game. I'm sure its never been practiced.

Like I said, it was a good playcall...but poorly executed. I won't expect you to be able to recognize the difference.

Horrible play call and horrible pass to end the half.

ND wasted some great opportunities.

Okay...and I'm talking about the 4th and 4 where Quinn threw a perfect strike to McNight that was dropped. With that said, how was the option play on 3rd and 1 that resulted into 4th and 4 Quinn's fault?

Just curious since I missed it.

I diddnt say it was his fault, I said it was a stupid call by coach frontbutt, that is all.

you know after last yr I really thought Brady Quinn might develop into a 5 star QB prospect and be an obvious #1 overall pick

I havent watched every ND game this season, but the one's I watched closely(mainly Ga Tech, Michigan and USC tonight) he hasnt been impressive at all....in fact it looks like he has regressed alot as a player to me...his accuracy isnt that good and even his arm strength doesnt impress me either

he'll probably still end as the top QB picked, but he isnt a blue chipper

It wasn't.

seriously the winner of this game either way is only a sacrificial lamb to Ohio St. both these teams are overrated, if only Vince Young had returned to Texas this year we'd be talking about an easy Texas repeat...

Oh for crying out loud! This is who I was replying to and why I asked the question:

Yes, it was. If he had held on to the ball for more than two steps he could have taken Sartz out of the play. Instead, he tossed it right away, allowing Sartz to react in time to make a play in the backfield. It's the basics of option play, and Quinn played it poorly.

Good half. USC came out swinging but ND started to counter-punch effectively in second quarter. The second half should be pretty exciting.

Go USC!!!
