like i said earlier, Smith is the only one they need to invite to the Heisman ceremony. nobody else comes close to him, this is the weakest class probably in the last 30 yrs.

Agreed. 100%.

Lots of very good players, but not many "great" players.

ND exposed for the frauds they are and the BCS exposed for still being a flawed system. This is what happens when you have a team that plays nothing but service academies and 1-2 actual football teams every year. You have a team ranked #6 who gets embarassed on national TV twice in the season and helps Michigan's chance to have a rematch for the national title.

I have nothing against Notre Dame's program or any of their players and I think Brady Quinn will be the best NFL QB, but I'm just so sick of their legion of fans who can keep a straight face while arguing that the Irish are legitimate title contenders.

A quick synopsis of Notre Dame's season:

1) Barely beat #24 Georgia Tech to open the season

2) Humiliated by Michigan in South Bend

3) Had to pull off a miracle comeback against Michigan state, a team that finished 4-8

4) Beat unranked Purdue, Stanford, and UCLA.

5) Beat the 3 major service academies in a 4 week span, with a win over North Carolina thrown in.

Start playing real teams and people will start taking Notre Dame seriously. There, I'm done venting.

I guess at some point I should accept that Notre Dame will always and forever be overrated if given half a chance,,,, though it doesn't mean I have to like it!

So, I guess with this additional evidence they will "plummet" to #7 in the polls?
