The Eagles moved up from the 13th pick to the 8th pick by trading Maxwell and Alonso to the Dolphins. The Bills moved up from the 21st pick to the 12th pick by trading Cordy Glenn to the Bills. The Cowboys should explore doing something similar.

Serious question- why would any team accept a trade for Dez with that contract, plus knowing there’s a good chance they could get him much cheaper if he’s a post June 1 cut?

I could be wrong but I just don’t see a trade for Dez Bryant in a draft day scenario that would make sense for any team.

Only if there would be a market for him and to escape possibly losing him to another team. And part of the trade would have to be Dez agreeing to a new contract.

And even if all that worked out, Dez is probably not worth more than a third. So best case, we move up maybe 4 spots.

Anything is possible, but this one is unlikely.

Unless your last name is Brown, there is no other WR in the game with a contract over 16M, that any team is going to take on that type of deal even if your name is Jones or Green.

Yeah, WR money is getting out of control. Much like guard money.

I know theres got to be atleast one sucker out of the other 31 teams!

I doubt a team that is drafting that high up will want him as a possible rental if they're not already a contender. With no long-term contract in place, they won't invest that.

The principles can agree to renegotiate the current contract. Dez doesn't use that word.

1. We have no one capable of performing such a task that would actually work in our favor.....our GM in training could maybe find a suitor, but he'd end up throwing in draft picks like they were Halloween candy.

We just signed someone to WR. We are a lot better at WR and should keep that way. I would draft OL or TE then go D.

I'd rather try trading Dez to Seattle for Earl Thomas. I know, l know.....I'm just saying....if we want to play that game this is what I'm doing.

I thought 12.5 mill cap hit for a WR of dezs caliber was a steal for any team. A very patriots like move.....

At least that’s what dez fan boys have told us
