anybody have or know anyone that owns a 2009 Mercury Mariner? Small SUV that is the sister to the Ford Escape.

Looking at one for my daughter. Seen mixed reviews on line about it.

thanks

No... not really.

The last Ford SUV I owned was a 1983 Ford Bronco!

But I have owned several Ford/Mercury sedans for the last 20 years and I've been pleased with all of them.

It sad to hear when Ford decommissioned the Mercury line.

That wasn't very helpful to the guy. But thanks for your $.02.

I had an 09 Escape for a company vehicle for about 3 years, pretty decent car...For as hard as I drove it, it was either running or idling for 6-8 hours a day all day, with a/c on in summer. Only had an idler pulley go out on it around 50k miles. I'd buy one for a kid, if can find one well maintained. I'm not sure how they are when you get over 120k miles on it or so, I would imagine not all that great

thanks for all the info. Escape/Mariner/Tribute are all the same. I'm doing my research. One owner (older lady), 92K miles. Waiting on car fax report before I make a call.
