Using 2013 Draft Board to predict FA signings

Our leaked 2013 draft board (below) might give us some clues about who we pursue in free agency Thursday... would not be surprised if we signed Corderrelle Patterson (1st round; especially w Dooley here), traded a 4th for Sheldon Richardson (1st round), re-signed Jonathan Cooper (1st round), and re-signed JJ Wilcox or signed Jonathan Cyprien (both 3rd round).

I honestly don't see us signing anyone for quite a while. We may sign one or two of our own...but I'm not expecting much for the first week or so.

Wow we had B.W. Webb with a third round grade? One round below Travis Frederick. I remember when this happened, must have missed that...

That's been the way we have seemed to opporate, and I'm fine with it. That first week or two is when some teams blow all there $ on an average FAs and cut him two years later. Makes for a boring start, but I think it's the smart way to go.

We need to use the "winning team" sales pitch.
How about Fluker and C Patterson, then focus on D in the draft?

that would not be a bad offseason.
richardson would be a very talented DL add though some worry about his locker room etc.
but a 4th rounder would be a steal and i doubt it - they were asking for a 1st.

cooper is fine as long as we intend to replace free with collins.
free is the #1 problem with the offense and lack of wr2 is the #2.

patterson would charge up the return game.
the problem is how is pass route running and receiving?

Why do people, as I seen it different places, think we can get Richardson for a 4th round pick.
First, do not trade picks for players, unless that guy is that difference maker. Also, this was supposedly offered during the season, but the offer was turned down. So why would they do it now.

Complete head scratch on why BW Webb was that high, someone really messed up on that one, for that high of a pick.

Hindsight is 20-20 on the Escobar / Short picks....but fans insist on the rue....even Landry, Brandt, Schramm screwed up on passing on Joe Montana in the 3rd, as he was ranked higher, but they needed a TE, so picked doug Cosbie...which turned out to be pretty good.....but just making that point....but rue away on Escobar that simply could not get on the field becasue of future HOF guy in front of him...don't knock it so much....

Patterson and cooper, I wouldn't mind them being signed.

richardson could well be a difference maker.
i would be all for using a 2nd round pick if he is rated highly.
it would also allow us to go BPA in the draft.

Aint using a 2nd on a player who is in the last year of his contract and has already been suspended 4 games for weed. a 3rd and only our 2017 3rd round pick should should be the max offer for him. our 4th would be ideal.

weed is not great but he is not a gregory.
i would love a 3rd also but there could be other bidders like denver.
you could franchise him for 2 years after that if he is a war daddy.
8M + $13.6M + $13.6M would be a bargain for a war daddy for 3 years.
furthermore, there does not need to be a long term commitment unless he signs a favorable contract.

Just plain no to Richardson...it's simple. weed, and eventually will cost too much....why waste a draft pick on a one year player. And you can't say he will be THAT player, and just franchise tag him for big $$$$. There are better options.

1 year rental to see if he is that player.
franchise tag $ for DT is $13.6M - a bargain for a war daddy and no long term commitment.
a 3 year 35M contract for a war daddy is well worth a high pick like a 2nd.
