That leaves Texas vs the winner of those two.
Texas doesn't play a good enough team to lose. (well theoretically)
I'm a Longhorns fan, but a bigger TCU fan. I read ESPN (fan posts) and you see nothing but Cincy fans (and used to be Iowa fans) trashing TCU because they were "far better teams". I'm sorry, bias a side, TCU has been VERY impressive. It's not just about being undefeated, it's about complete domination. Something neither Iowa or Cincy can claim.
TCU has faced two teams they haven't completely dominated. Clemson who gives a lot of teams a battle, and Air Force. You have to consider the Air Force game, but considering TCU is dominating ranked teams, I will consider that a possible fluke.
The complete ***-whipping they laid today on Utah tells me I need to consider that Air Force game a fluke. Utah is a good team and they got *****-slapped tonight!
If TCU wins out I give Texas vs whomever 1 & 2 and TCU finishes 3rd in the BCS when it's all side and done.

The Big 12 was created when the Big 8 invited Texas, Tech, A&M, and Baylor to join their conference. They weren't going to kick out any of their members. Iowa St. and Colorado were Big 8 members at the time.Biggems;3076503 said:Cause contrary to popular belief, the conference was put together for more than just football. there are other sports that are played, as well as academic programs......such as Baylor Medicine.
BTW, Baylor has won the Big 12 a woman's basketball championship, some track stuff, and other things.
Instead of cracking on Baylor.....ask yourself why Iowa St. is in the Big 12.
I would personally remove Iowa St. and Colorado from the Big 12. I would then add TCU and Houston. Unfortunately, this move sends both Oklahoma schools to the North and threatens the RRR, unless the conference allows the two to be an ongoing rivalry every year.
Big 12 North
OU
OSU
Nebraska
Kansas
KSU
Mizzou
Big 12 South
Texas
TCU
TT
A&M
Houston
Baylor
Now this is the way it should have been from the very beginning. Both Conferences should have dropped 2 schools when they merged to form the Big 12.

I believe TCU is simply the best team in the country right now.
I went to a Pac-10 school but I think the top teams of the MWC are easily as good as the teams in any other conference.

That's the thing though. Given the way the conference was created... with the 4 SWC teams being invited, there was no way that the Big 8 was going to drop any of its teams. The SWC was crumbling, and those teams had no leverage to demand 6 teams in the conference.Biggems;3076543 said:I know how it was created....I am saying it should have been dropping two and two. Each team should have brought 6 teams to the Conference. The Big Eight teams go to the Big 12 North and the SWC teams go to the Big 12 South.
Had they done it my way...they could have still had the RRR every year, OU/Nebraska every year, and most likely UT/OU in the Big 12 Championship every year this decade.
And I would not sacrifice Baylor for someone like Arkansas. I like having Baylor in the Big 12. They may not offer much in the way of football, but their impact is definitely felt in other areas, like academics.
