that 26 yard miss was ridiculous, but i still feel good about him.. he is 75% on the year and has hit from 50 and 43.. he will be fine and will help us this year..

Thank God he made the ong one, but that still won't save us from all the haters writing about how the kicking game is still a "huge" question mark.

The guy may not be the Mr automatic he thinks he is but does anyone here really think we are not in a WAY WAY WAY better position kicker wise than we were last year?

I kind of feel bad for the guy. Supposedly, he was so depressed that during halftime, he tried to shoot himself in the head. Luckily, the bullet went wide right.

Can someone tell me where his kickoffs landed? Mickey said something about Vanderclank(Yeah, I like that one) selling a bill of goods. But I can't honestly remember what sort of depth he was getting on them.

I haven't seen anything yet from the kicker position that makes me feel better than last year. You have to make 26 yard FGs. Period. If that makes me a hater so be it but I'm looking for drastic improvement from the position and I ain't seeing it. I'm not giving up on the guy but he needs to start living up to his career accuracy numbers before he starts missing in close games.

He had a couple that went into the end zone. Might have even had a touchback.

But he had some KOs that were so bad, that they actually turned into good kicks as a result because Tennessee had no idea to handle them.

My impression was that, early on, he lacked distance and hang time. He was hitting line drives to the 13-yard line. But, it worked in our favor because Tennessee wasn't prepared for the short kick would let them bounce around a few times.

His miss was huge. The game was still anyone's game at that point. I aint hating on him but what the ....?

75% is good on the year but if the BIG kicks are missed then we are in trouble.
Stats and percentage dont reflect importance of kick etc...

Thanks for that answer. Watching in a sports bar does sometime make it difficult to see the details like that at a game, especially when there is no sound for that game...

Perhaps you can shed some light on why Parcells has not given a shot to McBriar to kickoff? Or has that been attempted in mini/training camps and I missed that nuggett....

Initially that's really funny...but when you really look at it, should we be laughing at it? Cause this is our kicker...he better get his mind together before he misses one that costs us a game.
