Yeah, some other big name kickers missed FG's today as well.

We were watching on Sunday ticket on my house. We flipped away from The Boys game at commercial - and saw two kickers miss makeable kicks consecutively. Nedney, and someone else....It was hilarious.

Did anyone else think that the kick might have been tipped? Some friends and I were watching the game, and rewinded the kick and it looked like the trajectory went right after the Titan player dove by.

Anyone else see this???

Maybe it's just me, but I thought Vandy did fine on kickoffs. I mean he acknowledged, if they wanted him to kick in a certain direction he had problems, but if he just lined it up, his kicks were fairly consistant to the 1 or 2 yard line.

I still can't believe he missed that chippy FG tho.

I felt he had some good kickoffs and some that were not so good. As for FG same some good 1 not so good.

He scares me out there.

He kind of refuses to practice kickoffs - he has said he won't "go all out" kicking off in practice. So he looks like a guy who hasn't been doing it much. Some good, some bad.

I'm still puzzled that nobody ever asked McBriar to practice kickoffs. Come on mate, the croc hunter would want you to kick off!

I think McBriar did practice kick offs in his first season. He just wasn't good at it.

Parcells doesn't want to jinx his punting! The guy has been playing out of his mind this year.

The difference between Suisham and Vandy kicking off was night and day. Vandy may have gotten one to the goal line, the rest were landing around the 10. The only saving grace was that TEN players couldn't handle the ball. Otherwise, I think the average starting field position would have been much more marked.

Bottom line, I think Suisham's value almost requires us to take him, and I do't understand the hangup. Is another special teams player worth 10-15 yards every kickoff?

It's not like we're taking Carpenter anyway. ;)

His kickoffs are not the problem, imo. It is his inability to make the chip shots..I just hope this jack arse doesn't cost us a game.

I'm not defending his miss....but if you watch the kick again he had to leave the ball out to the right since there was a guy flying in from his left....if he kicked it straight it would have been blocked......he tried to put a little draw on it but not quite enough.....personally, i think the end who allowed the Titans free run at the kick should take as much blame......

He was very inconsistent. Some were just fine, others weren't.

Vandy is a liability on kickoffs. The only reason he did ok was because his kickoffs were way shorter than the reception team predicted. This led to the ball rolling around on the ground before the picked it up. Teams will move up now that they know he can't kick it even to the 10. Once that happens, we are gonna be looking at a lot of short fields for the other teams offense. We can't afford to do that.

I don't think the kickers job is angle the kick so it won't get blocked. I think he just plain missed it.

Unless you, as a kicker, have blinders on you have to feel pressure from a side.....if you guys really think he just flat out missed a 26 yard FG....check it again....I'm not defending his miss but you will see him kick it out to the right and try to draw it in so the kick would not be blocked....

I was going to mention the same thing. Not making excuses for our "idiot kicker" but it looked to me like the Tennesee player might have got a fingertip to it.

Anybody who taped the game, check out his missed FG, it looks like the Titan player coming from the side tipped the ball, because the flight of the ball changes in the air. I didn't notice it live, but when I watched the tape it sure looks like it...Check it out and get back to me....
