If you take away the Washington block, and Parcells said it was Colombo's fault, he's still making 86% of his kicks for the season. Even the opponent's starting field position has been respectable on his kickoffs.

Cowboy fans still haven't forgiven him for preseason ... which for an established vet with his track record is kinda silly.

It's definately mental, because he knocked home five 45-yarders in a row in pregame warmups. His kickoffs are what make me nervous. We're going to give up another return this year, book it.

I think it's all the past kickig problems from the past...it will take a while to get over, and get some confidence in our kicking game...but I'm with ya, until he proves himself to us.

Yeah, that guy needs to re-adjust. It is like he has lost his nerve or something.

It's up to the kicking coach to redirect that kick to the left. Where is Steve Hoffman when you need him?

He makes me nervous, too. But NOTHING like what I felt like last year. I wasn't nervouse last year at all. I knew we weren't going to make it last year.

Nervous is way better than hopeless.

What we want is consistant FG kicking. We have that now. But what seems to be the mantra is that he needs to do everything beyond anything we've had because the Cowboys choose to pay him well.

The guy is dealing with this stigma that BP produced that he's supposed to be worth 3 more wins for us. BS.

He's had an injury, dealing with a new holder and center and his comfort zone has changed due to the expectations. And while we are at it, he's got some poor blocking the last few games which probably has him peaking at the rush.

Who knows, since practices are closed, we don't get reports that there are problems other than Vandy being mentioned he's struggling here and there.

He's also had very poor kickoff return coverage overall. So his KO's are not always as effective as they should be.

I think that it's a team sport and the kicking game is crucial and that as time goes by, they will be fine. But there are a lot of moving parts and it's not always the kicker.

With so many home games coming up, getting it settled and Vandy getting his feel for Texas Stadium is a must.

We'll see. But I'm a lot more worried about our pass rush without Ellis and our WR corp without Terry Glenn than I am Vandy.

Dallas did not try FGs because they didn't want to run up the score. They just wanted to burn the clock.

Anything 39 and under and I'm nervous with him out there. 40+ and he seems to kick more conifdent for some reason, like he takes something off the short kicks. :bang2:
