Panthers let Bruce Campbell go. Wouldn't mind bringing him in for a look see, can play guard or tackle and had a good college career. May have even played with Costa if I'm not mistaken

I think he tore his pectoral muscle or something and is done for the year.

Shocked to see the Bills cut Da'Rick Rogers. Thought that would have been a steal for Buffalo

One name that has intrigued me at a position of needed depth is Jamarkus McFarland, DT. I know he was highly recruited out of high school and ended up going to Oklahoma (UT was high on him too, IIRC). Not really sure how his career went after that. Can any one full us in?

This is a scouting report I found of him. Looks to be a depth player at DT who displays strength and quickness. Could be worth a look as a Marinelli project.

Jamarkus McFarland
School: Oklahoma
Position: DT
Bio: Posted career numbers as a senior after moving into the starting lineup. Totals included 29 tackles/6 tackles for loss/3 sacks after 21/3.5/.5 as a junior when he started seven games.
Positive: Hard-working interior lineman who plays with terrific strength. Displays good first step quickness, plays with leverage, and tough to move off the point. Keeps his feet moving on contact. Gets a push up the field or slides off of blocks to get to the ballcarrier.
Negative: Must improve his balance. Displays limited-hand technique. Marginally productive at Oklahoma.
Analysis: McFarland was a solid contributor for Oklahoma, yet possesses average size/speed numbers for the next level. He's best as a gap occupying tackle in a four-man line.

Kenny Phillips would be worth looking into. He never fully recovered from his injury, but we could do far worse.

Ronnell Lewis, (2012 4th round, Lions) is an interesting cut. There were some people predicting him as a 1st/2nd round pick back then.

i think he's been in the trainers room more than on the field. May be worth a ftures contract in january

Safety Kenny Phillips?

We've already got a log jam at safety as it is. Unless someone were to get hurt, namely Allen, and be out for a significant amount of time, we arent going to do anything there.

Phillips has more upside than Allen, Allen is just a safer bet. It wasn't but 3 seasons ago that Kenny Phillips was considered an all-pro. I would much rather carry Phillips than McCray as my last safety of the bunch. Besides, he'd sign for the vet minimum if he clears waivers.

One of the main knocks on him is that he is stupid.

So I suppose if that is what you are looking for in a player.

Wow raiders already let cribs go lol

Dang really? He fell completely off the map. I remember he was a big explosive threat in Cleveland. Guess he really never learned the WR position. Always thought he could stay around as a special team guy like Hester.

Cribbs had off season surgery, and reportedly has not recovered well. He hasn't displayed the same speed/quickness.

He hasn't been the same since his injury. The Eagles need a starting safety.. cutting Phillips shows where he's at right now. Its a no-go.

Yea, I'm a bit surprised too. He must've really been unimpressive. Considering they don't have a whole lot of talent at that position, I thought he'd be able to secure the 5th or 6th spot.

I believe he has talent, so I wonder if attitude/immaturity played a role.
