Highlight after highlight of his long runs ends by DBs catching up to him.
You’ve missed a lot of his highlights then. Like his long TD in this year’s Sugar Bowl against Alabama’s speedy defense. He outran everyone. Look it up. Or the TD he had a couple years ago against LSU and their speedy secondary. Or against OU multiple times. These teams had several guys playing on Sundays he outran. He’s run a 4.4 forty and been clocked at 21 mph during several runs. That’s fast.

Hey if you don’t like Deuce Vaughn that’s fine. You are entitled to that opinion. But the facts are there. He’s fast. And he’s played very well against college football’s best. He has yet to prove anything in the NFL yet.

Again, you are welcome to not like Vaughn. But saying he’s not fast is factually incorrect. You’re gonna have to dislike him for other reasons.

Here‘s Deuce’s 88 yd TD run vs Bama’s speedy D:

Looks like he got a block from the ref. The whole defense was within 10 yards of the LoS and the safety was arguably held. The far cornerback is catching him but it's too late.

I hope this guy is great because I like underdogs, but I want to see what he does against NFL guys before having any expectations.

Are you ok? Having a bad day?
The naysayer trolls never quit, do they! But this spin is rather entertaining!!!
Chris Vaughn: Hey Mr. Jones, why is my kid on the practice squad again this week?
Jerry Jones: Well Chris, what were you expecting for a 6th round little *******?

Get him to the second level and this guy may be a great weapon. What an exciting player.

Vaughn might be gone! All the way to the endzone.

His vision reminds me of Emmitt and his cuts ( avoiding hits reminds me of Sanders). At 5’5 I still think he can be special

Deuce has great contact balance that allows him to break tackles someone 180lbs shouldn't.

He's only short. He's not frail. He's powerfully built, just lacks height.

I want to love this pick.
So do I, I just hope he's tough enough to take the pounding he'll get in the NFL.

I like the player, but he has to stand on his toes in the 5ft side of the swimming pool. I just have a hard time seeing him handle the nfl, but i'm rooting for him.

I like this kid, and getting him in the 6th round is well worth the pick. He made big plays in big games against big boy teams. If he was 5'9" he'd have been gone on day 2.

Did you see this?

He finished his college career with 651 carries, 3,604 rushing yards, 5.5-yard average, 34 rushing touchdowns, twenty one 100-yard rushing games, 116 receptions for 1,280 yards (11-yard avg.), 9 receiving touchdowns, 7 kickoff returns for 145 yards (20.7-yard avg.), 5,029 all-purpose yards, 258 points scored and 279 rushing yards in bowl games. He was one of just two Big 12 players to ever register 3,600 rushing yards and 1,250 receiving yards in a career (DeMarco Murray). He was named a Consensus All-American for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

IMO one of the most underrated players in the draft.

If he was 5'9", the Eagles would have drafted him.

I mean did these same LB's and Safties skip the NCAA?
Nope they didn’t. But if they have had a few years in the NFL they have their man body. Bigger faster and stronger than the college days. These RBs can’t all come in like Elliot did.

Can’t wait for the outrage when this kid isn’t even active game day

you think there will be outrage that a 6th round pick busts? Again I dont think anyone is saying "He is a sure fire HOF RB" what they are saying is nothing this kid did in college equates to "He will be good for 2-5 touches as a gadget player" if he can play he will be a legit RB in the NFL just like he has done at every level he was undersized... I laugh you guys think 5'5 is big at any level these days?

I would absolutely hate this pick if it was yet another 2nd round gamble. His size creates too many question marks. But in the 6th? You're literally playing with house money at that point. And you're betting on a guy that has excelled at every level against some of the best to play the game.

The positives: He has a history of producing on the field. He hits his top gear incredibly fast. He has incredible vision and makes ankle-breaking cuts. He is decisive. He has great hands in the passing game. Has displayed impeccable character on and off the field. Has a high football IQ.
The negatives: He's small. Really, really small.

This is an amazing 6th round pick. I don't know if he can do it at the next level where everyone is a bigger and quicker. Can he be an adequate blocker? Can he hold up when a 330 pound lineman falls on top of him? Can he take on new roles like PR and KR that he hasn't done before? I can't answer those questions.

That said, I've been guilty myself of saying that measurables don't mean anything if they've never done it. It's just potential. And it seems that most of the guys who have never done it, never do it. It's just potential. I'm super excited to see a pick who literally is the opposite of "just potential." Deuce has always produced. He's produced at a high level. He's produced against top competition. He's seemingly out-produced his measurables by a great degree.

I'm glad he's a Cowboy.
