We didn't win a playoff game with Flozell, I don't see where we've lost much if we don't win one without him.

How Emmitt played with a separated shoulder is beyond me.
At any rate - carry on...

That has to hurt like hell fracturing your cranium... Oh you said, acromium. That's not so bad.
Down here we only have had an inch or of the white stuff on the ground at any one time over the past month. But I've heard about the mess around Fulton and Mexico.

But even without Flo, I'm not sure we could afford either of those corners. Asomugha is the best corner in the NFL, and probably won't be let loose from Oakland if they're smart at all. Trufant will probably be franchised.
nyc;1934056 said:Both Trufant and Asomugha will be franchised. If only to for more time to negociate.

Lucky for us however that we will get even more of your wisdom.
bbailey423;1934128 said:I have said from Day 1 we need to move on...successful franchises (Colts, Eagles, Pats, Steelers etc...) are faced all the time with these decisions and they stay successful because they show the guts to do it....if we sign Flo for 3 years what would have been the point of McQuistan, Free, and Martin? I am a bottom line guy and the bottom line is we have seen Flo for 9 years and have not won squat with the guy...it is time to move on. If we were sure about him we would have never let it get to this point...so I would not be shocked if they Cowboys moved on.
Woods;1934298 said:I wouldn't be shocked if we let him go either.
I think it comes down to two things,
1. What the coaching staff thinks of Free, McQ (this may be the most important thing, IMO)
2. How much money and the contract terms that Flo wants.
MichaelWinicki;1934362 said:Here's the contract John Runyan signed in 2006...
"John Runyan-Runyan signed a 3 year, 12.45 million dollar deal in the 2006 offseason that included a 2.5M roster bonus in 2006 and roster bonuses of 1M in 2007 and 2008. He also has 350K of LTBE incentives in 2007 and 2008.
2006: $3,650,000 (1.15M base salary+2.5M roster bonus)
2007: $3,900,000 (2.9M base salary+1M roster bonus+350K LTBE incentive)
2008: $4,200,000 (3.2M base salary+1M roster bonus)"
I could see something similar for Adams, although the numbers would be a little higher... maybe like 3 years, 18 mil, with a 2008 cap charge of $5 mil or less.
I doubt I'd go any higher than that.
theebs;1933640 said:You might want to double check your facts on Free. He projects as a pretty good player and people who matter at camp thought he looked ready last year.
Ugoh wasnt rated that much better than stephen heyer, heyer played pretty decent for the skins too. The only thing free was lacking that ugoh and heyer had was opportunity.
I hope he gets that opportunity next year.
skinsscalper;1934486 said:I remember perusing at extremeskins this last season and they were ripping Heyer a new one for getting their QB killed and missing his assignments in the running game. I'm sure that type of player would be a huge upgrade over Flo. But hey, atleast we'd get to sign a new toy in FA.
The Skins also made a move like many here are suggesting and their line suffered BIG TIME. They figured they could just plug a fat body in Dockery's place and let him walk via FA. That organization struggled for half the season to try and cover up that blunder. IIRC making a mid-season trade for the guy from NYJETS (his name escapes me at this point).
Yep. Sounds like a winning formula to me.

My buddy was coming back last year after riding at night just north of glass factory road, he misjudged the sharp left turn at about 50 miles per hour and stuck the nose of the bike right in the snow and sent him about 20 feet into the woods. he thought he broke his back! He ended up with just some bruises and a sore back from the landing. He is lucky to be alive!
I dont know how you guys ride those things, especially at night!
