This post is another instant classic, as a matter of fact.

You sir are correct. Another instant classic.

The reason I was so disappointed in Jenkins with the "whiffed tackle" was because I like the kid so much. I wouldn't say I bailed on him, but it was extremely tough to watch him do that.

That being said, it's in the past and I see nothing but a bright future for Mike. He is extremely important to us this season, and especially in the coming years.

Henry is done. Everytime the ball goes to his side I just know it's going to be a decent completion, if not a HUGE one.

And I agree with whoever said Henry wouldn't last a half-time at free safety. He is not physical enough now. Maybe 2 years ago, but not now.

the secondary as a whole has'nt been physical...i can think of three games over the past two seasons that they were...GB, @ GB and Tampa...like it or not and at risk of incurring some wrath, Roy Williams is missed in the run defense, whatever his deficiencies in pass coverage...we saw the same thing with the Colts defense without Bob Sanders...the physical presence of players who live to hit is hard to miss...a good, aggressive and physical strong safety at the point of attack can make all the difference in run support...

Can someone pls tell Wade this?

Wade's a player's coach.

It's like the deal with Ellis.

The vet has the position until he just about "drops over dead".

I noticed this in the last two games, I don't have the stats but just by watching the game, Henry had alot more passes targeted his way over Jenkins. I remember thinking that teams would perefer to go after Henry instead of a rookie.

Cason's biggest fan here.

Jenkins was the #1 target of the team. The night before the Draft I said he would be our pick at 22. I was shocked he had dropped that far. He was top 10 pre-Combine. When we took Felix I nearly fell over.

So I was not at all shocked we moved back up to get him too.

He is going to be a great CB. Kid has great feet.

:starspin I agree. Jenkins has the tools so why not let him get his "rookie" mistakes out of the way now. He certainly has more upside than Henry, so leave Jenkins out there and let him work through the inevitable rookie mistakes so he'll be that much better off in the long run.

*Love it.* I've been shopping for a title for some time now, trying things on in my head, looking for the right fit.

Now I can just let people know when I'm about to drop a classic post, and they can just look at my title and know that I was right.

I feel like we have accomplished something today with this.

I'm very excited with the play of Jenkins since he has scene the field more. I honestly feel like the rookies are bringing more of "bring it on" attitude then the older players. I like it and think they have bright futures. One thing that excites me so much is that its not just Jenkins but Scandrick as well. They could turn out to be our corners of the future. Just maybe thats not so far away.

Newman and Jones coming back will make this secondary as good as we hoped this off season. Jenkins and Scandrick both really developed faster. They had to.

This is Henry's last year in Dallas.

I agree. I thought he was just injured but his play is off.

And his injuries will likely take him out of a S spot even on this team. I don't think he can take the hits in that position.

I won't ask the obvious question

This much is obvious to anyone who has watched Henry try to cover anyone this year - he just has minimal quickness left which makes him useless at CB. He should be a TE cover specialist only at this stage. He cannot survive the pounding at FS.

Obviously, I'm on the same page as far as Henry not having it anymore as a CB. When a vet has to play ten yards off of a rookie WR, as Henry did earlier this season, he's washed up. Saying that, I still think he can play safety. He's almost the same size as Hamlin, and has never backed off sticking his nose in on a tackle.
With both Hamlin & Henry back at the safety positions, we would have two players who are physical & savvy.
