It's the QB situation.. Kap missed two completely wide open receivers yesterday and took a safety. That's not the kinda thing you expect out of a "franchise" QB

I too expect Davis to excel, Manning in my opinion is responsible for producing great receivers. Playing with a Brady or Manning forces people to elevate their play automatically. I recall listening to a Demariyus Thomas interview and he mentioned how much Peyton improved his route running and understanding of the game. Manning is such a perfectionist that he will not contemplate throwing you the ball if you don't have your timing and route down pat.

I think part of his drop off is by design.

You can't go into playoffs and super bowl as an offensive juggernaut only.

They are riding defense and ball control to SB.
