Video: 1993 NFC Championship intro

I loved that CBS intro music and with Summerall setting the stage it was chilling. I loved when Summerall said "the house with the whole in the roof is packed with emotion. Those were the days!!!

Does anybody have the intro to the Cowboys/Packers championship, it was the "Lets get ready to rumble" guy. It was pretty sweet.

I always throught this intro had a greater sense of grandiosity:

In my opinion, football broadcasting on CBS during this time period had reached a pinnacle that remains unmatched to this day; the announcers, the music, the graphics, and the overall presentation was unparalleled. Fox brought a number of long overdue innovations to the game, such as the omnipresent box score, but Fox's overall presentation seems to deemphasize the game, especially lately.

Of course, it you want to watch a broadcast that renders the game a virtual afterthought, watch ESPN's Monday Night Football (and I'm certain you will be tonight ;) ).

Lately, I think NBC's Sunday Night Football is the superior broadcast.

The music is from the soundtrack to the 1991 Spielberg film "Hook". it is a john Williams composition.

This really makes a huge difference. I am a big John Williams fan.

Man, this intro seems so epic. Brought goosbumps :)

great find! I had that game (along with dozens of others from 1990-1996) on VHS

we put a major league beatdown on them that day...offensively and defensively we just took them apart...had Aikman not been nailed in the head on the first drive of the 2nd half, we'd have hung 50 on them

I had that game around here somewhere. I also vividly remember Kenny "The Shark" Gant always getting the crowd hype before kickoff and punt returns. That 1993 team was the best out of the dynasty imo. But the 1992 was the funnest to watch.

everyone remember "Pup" going after Jerry Rice in the pregame of the 93 championship?

People forget how good a CB he was...in 92 & 93, Smith totally shut down Jerry Rice when he was on him...and had Butch Davis not made a bonheaded call before halftime in the 94 championship game (he moved Larry Brown onto Rice mana to man right before halftime, they scored a TD on the play) we'd have another trophy

I remember K Smith punking Rice as a rookie, totally disrespected the prima donna

Hey Guys:

I have that game. Minus the intro unfortunately. When my site is online again, I'll see that it is available for download.

Too bad that intro isn't of the quality my video is, or I would rip that file from YouTube and attach it to the front end of my copy of the game.

Ah yes sweet memories of Cowboys past. :)
