Day 1 is round 1 Bob.

Sorry to throw cold water on you.

Whatever the case may be, the receivers we've looked at aren't roster fillers. We aren't looking at 4th, 5th and 6th receivers.

It's a movie.

Famous line:

"I'm as mad as hell and I'm not gonna take this anymore"
I don't recognize the line nor the movie.

Sorry if I am being dense.

Yea, but at least Hos has the excuse of Bob being generally annoying

I could legitimately see you in your maroon and yellow number #2 w/ a tear down your face as you unplug your computer and put lip stick on in the mirror and chew on your hair.

LOL. No, wasn't quite that bad. It was just getting ridiculous. Every day I was choosing to read non-stop bashing of one of my favorite college players aka #1 pet cat. It's like going to a Commanders bar to watch a Cowboys game. It's going to be nothing but negative crap from a bunch of guys who know nothing, so why endure it. Plus any Commanders bar will also have a rainbow flag on the door and no one wants any part of that..but I digress.

I do have a maroon and yellow #2 jersey though. No lipstick, there is maybe one mirror in my house, and my hair isn't long enough to chew.

Old movie. Think it's called Network. 70's I think.

It still falls on one thing I already said and one I left unsaid holding it in reserve. Actually two possible reasons exist and are pretty easy to discern.

Due diligence is one. Can you guess the other? Or do you still need help figuring out why we look at players?

Im sure itd be easier on you if people just didnt prefer Mays. Instead they are very passionate about hating him. I think theres like 3 or 4 usernames dedicated to us not taking him. Throw in your boy Charles Brown too.

Hey, I respect your opinion. If you think we should take Mays in R2 then Ill give it a chance

No, tell me Hos.

I haven't heard of it. Sorry if I ruined the joke, but I do not get a lot of pop culture references. It's embarrassing that it dates back to the 70's and I still don't know, but I don't.

I knew it.

1. We could still lose Miles Austin if another team signs him to a contract we cannot match or choose not to.

Ever consider that being unprepared for that would be foolish? How sad.

2. We need help on Kick Returns and several of these guys have experience there. Many of the CBs we are bringing in do too.

Ever think of that? How sad.

Roy moreso than anyone else I would say.

No...Why?...

Probably because he will still be on the team this year and will not be let go until next year at the earliest?

Probably because there will be another starting player that will be off the team before he will be?

That's actually a great point. Although not likely, a team with a low first round pick (like the Jets) could feel Austin is better than anyone they would draft and won't mind giving up the additional 3rd rounder to get him. I would think/hope we would match any offer but we'd be scrambling to find a WR if we didn't/couldn't match.

You still have to prepare in case it happens.

My gosh, why not recognize the fact our Front Office are doing their jobs and looking at every possible option instead of trying to act like there's some kind of nefarious act on the horizon?

So were preparing to lose Miles but were not preparing for the possibilty to draft Anthony Davis?

Sorry....

I dont see any contract Jerry doesnt match. He still had just the one year so whos going to go nuts w/ a contract

Hos why hasnt/couldnt Roy restructure? Arent you cool w/ his agent?

No, I don't have anything to do with his agent.

Every year there are players who raise red flags that the Cowboys take off their Draft boards. Percy Harvin last year. It had nothing to do with the position he plays, it had to do with red flags raised.

I am not saying Austin is gone. I am saying it would stupid team management to not be prepared in case it does happen.

Is that, or is that not true?

Do we have confirmation or a good reason to believe Anthony Davis has been Red Flagged by us? Sorry if posted elsewhere, I must have missed it.

No, he and I discussed that via PM. It has not been posted. I wouldn't have.

I don't know that it is 100% true, but it is something I have heard is being considered.

Exactly my point about AD. It would be stupid not to dig deeper into him. But theres too many threads about that so to Miles.

They are in control of the Austin situation. So I think they pretty much know theyre keeping him. I think if they take a WR he will be more of a returner b/c other than that hes probably not going to see a ton of action on the field. Then when Roy is let go next year you can get your starter opposite Austin. In the draft or when the normal FA returns.

DCFanatic was on that for awhile. I dont feel I was telling any tales out of school here.

Plus its public knowledge AD hasnt visited
