the INT/fumbling issue would be old if it wasn't a problem the last 4 games of the season: 6INTs 3 Fumbles lost (to 5TDs)Aikmaniac;2623473 said:If he's working as hard as he says he is, he doesn't have anything to prove.

Give me an elite QB capable of leading the lead in passer rating at any given point in the season, one who absolutely transforms the offense he's in when he comes into a game, with a resilient attitude and the kind of grounding and short term memory you need to play QB fearlessly in this league. And I'll give you a whiney fanbase that doesn't appreciate what they've got because they read too much into a season-ending press conference.
You all know who you are.

Maybe he can step in with that feerless short term memory and resiliency and through 6 picks in the playoffs.
It definitely shows where the "just as good as punt" mentatlity was learned.
But hey, even Farve won one SB with that style of play, but lost a whole slew of other playoff games almost singlehandidly (Rams, AtL, etc.)

Because Tony does not break down or cries to the TV does not mean he is happy with how things have gone. It is pretty obvious at the post game interview when he has had a bad game. Tony has not looked for excuses and I think he know he has to help get this team over the hurdle. In the end no matter what Tony says will make a difference he will be judged by what happens on the field

Look at Tiki Barber...the guy was infamous for fumbling at key moments. So he fixed it and all people talked about after that was how he improved himself and how he didn't fumble the ball. It was something you couldn't knock about Barber's game.
Romo has to improve himself first. He can (and should) lead by example that way there isn't this post-season talk or doubt.
Physically, I think Romo has what it takes to be that elite QB that can lead this team to a SB win. There's just something about his decision making and attitude that I think hold back his full potential . He's SO SO close...that's what makes his screwups so unbearable.Aikmaniac;2624376 said:I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he never was fully recovered from that back injury and combine that with the thumb, there were some hinderences in his QB mechanics.
Sure, I am making excuses, but I'll make excuses all day for a guy that is, in my opinion, our QB of the present and the future.
I'd like to hear (or read) what you could say positively about Tony Romo.
