After listening to Brian Billick breakdown what happened, I'm not surprised he isn't employed by an NFL team.

That video made two facts abundantly clear (aside from how poorly Romo played):

1) The Cowboys secondary is terrible.

2) The team as a whole simply cannot execute.

Wow, I did not watch the game so the NFL.com video is revealing. The G-men got every bounce of the ball,,,some weird tips too.

And Romo really made some bad throws.

It is football 101 and that is why it is so frustrating when Tony doesn't realize that. The third pick should have never occurred.

What? His explanation had nothing to with the pick, which was due 100% to just a wildly inaccurate pass. Whether they were in man or zone, RW was wide open.

I know right? For example the eli 3rd down critical pass in the 4th quarter. That thing was headed to Manningham's feet (or the ground) and Rat tips it....IT DEFLECTS UPWARD AND HITS MANNINGHAM IN THE CHEST. facepalm.jpg

1) Was it ever confirmed that he was targeting RW, because Crayton was also in the area heading toward the sideline.

2) I love the final breakdown on the slant that Jenkins gave up. In that scenario, he has to jam the WR and force him upfield, not allowing the quick slant with the blitz being called.

Good stuff.

The sad thing is every fan in the country understood the game situation and felt the flow of the game moving our way right before that 3rd int.

How and why Tony continues to make such reckless deep throws is beyond me! :bang2:

That's might be a good point, but the fact that you can't tell one way or the other makes my point. Even if it were intended for Crayton it was a terribly placed ball whether they're in man or zone.

If you've got crossing patterns and you're intending to throw to the receiver over the top, you don't throw low an inside, regardless of the coverage.

It seems as though the Giants knew we were going to pass. The safety appeared to be playing prevent defense. As stated in the video the run was working just fine.
Honestly, I figured out during the game that their intentions were to NOT to give up the big play. All the bombs in the Tampa game, they clearly sold out on their run defense.

As I re-watched the game, they rarely blitzed in that game, rather allowing their front 4 to do all the work. There were plays to be made in the passing game, just no patience.

According to Mickey Spagnola, Romo was throwing to Roy. He said something like Romo thought he could get Roy to sit down in the route instead of running the slant. (Heard him on Talkin Cowboys Monday and also on Cowboys Insider on FoxSW)

Ugh. I thought that he was going to Crayton too... Wow that's even a worse throw/play if he was going to Roy.

lets not jump off cliff yet with the defense. As was pointed out...Jenkins was playing poor technique for what defense was doing. Wade mentioned it might take some guys little longer to really understand the concept. Better technique from CB and better pash rush from Spencer will go a long way.

They seemed to be executing pretty well at times. You don't run for 250+yds on the Giants without execution. They execute poorly sometimes.

Is it any surprise the WRs and Romo are not on the same page all the time? I can't see the video where I am BTW.

I hope Romo and Garrett take Romo's inaccuracy at times into better account when calling and executing plays. It is going to take time for RW and all to get in sync with Tony.

Romo already explained he chose to throw it to Crayton.

Then was hesistant. Then threw it and it was a bad decision.

The Giants just wanted to keep Romo from escaping the pocket and keeping plays alive. They admitted so after the game.
