Simply download and install a torrent client. I use utorrent because it is free. Once you have it installed click on the download link and it will put the download in utorrent and start downloading.

Download is to big for that. Torrent allows users to share the bandwidth responsibility. 4.37gb would take most of us forever to upload.

I downloaded the videolan player in the original post. Then I clicked to download the video but it only took like a spit second to download and it was done. Now it won't open in the videolan player. Why did it download so fast? Did I not get the whole file or what?

You downloaded the torrent file which is nothing more than a link to people hosting the file.

Simply download and install a torrent client. I use utorrent because it is free. Once you have it installed click on the download link and it will put the download in utorrent and start downloading. When it is 100% finished then you can use videolan to play it.

I downloaded the Utorrent 1.75 and opened it but it says downloading but it has 0% on the status bar and it's been over five minutes. Is this normal?

i understand your position, but there is a little more involved, especially when ISPs & workplaces throttle and severely limit torrenting. To get the 4.4gb file you essentially have to upload at least a few GB yourself to others.

One single Upload to binary newsgroups would be a quicker transfer than torrenting, since you split/par the files which also allows repair for incompletes. 4 quarters, each 1.1 GB is marginally difficult to share.

the obvious advantage is one upload, then unlimited downloads and no isp/work blocking.

again, it's obvious you are not going to do that but just an FYI if anyone reading had such an inclination cowboy fans worldwide would greatly appreciate.

Does it show a blue arrow pointing down to the left of the 0%? To the right of 0% you should see a download speed. As long as you see a blue arrow and download speed you are good.

yes, especially if you aren't seeding (and how can you but with 0% downloaded). let it run overnight and hope you have a secure ports everywhere else.
