Video: Dez Bryant amazing one handed catch at Cowboys Minicamp

Those plays to Dez are either near the sidelines or the back of the end zone. The ball is thrown up to where he has the only shot to make the play. Either he catches it or it sails OB. It's tough enough just catching the ball because he has to climb a ladder to snag it then he has to keep both feet in. The play has been made even more difficult to pull off with the force out rule no longer around.

Two things.

1. How discouraging is it that Mo was right there and watches him still bring it down?

2. Someone in this thread suggested he changed hands. He went up with his left and brought it down with his left. The right was blocked by Mo.

Brilliant catch.

1670 yards and 14 touchdowns.....

....if....

Tony gets an offensive line that blocks instead of being truly offensive.

He will be my second round pick in fantasy this season, he would go first, but trying to get a RB first.

My sentiment exactly.

I drafted him last year and it was painful to go 3 quarters without him having a single catch, then blowing up for 40 fantasy points in the 4th. The offense needs to feature him as the #1 weapon. Get him the freakin ball. He should have 20 TDs next year.

Dez used to do that all the time in Lufkin when he played for the Lufkin Panthers in high school. He is a beast! Just needed to grow up and mature. Best is yet to come.

Guy is intense, I love it. Hopefully he'll continue to mature, and not revert.

I must be dense...but I watched it over and over, and the REF was right there and called it a no catch every time. What am I missing?

He never called it a TD...and you can see Dez talking at him every time.

Keep replaying it: from the twentieth time on, it's called a TD. :D

Discouraging to whom? DBs get beat all the time and Dez does this to everybody. Mo and Carr will be better corners from practicing against Dez.

Great catch now all Dez needs to do is figure out how to stay in bounds on those one handed grabs.

No, he definitely got one against the Eagles last year - I think it was the first Eagles game. It also occurred at an important point of the game when we were struggling offensively and were behind in the game.

No one handed grab by Dez vs the Eagles in the first game just checked the highlights click the link. You may be thinking of the TD catch he made that almost hit the ground. Riley Cooper made a Dez like one handed grab in the end zone on the Eagles first TD.

If it was that great catch on the sidelines you may be correct.

He can't be covered because he can do ridiculous stuff like that on a routine basis.

I'm all for reading the defense and throwing to the open guy but with Dez you need special rules. Because he's a special talent. Use it.

wow.
even in practice hes so passionate.

That is becoming more and more rare. 'practice like you play' is almost a thing of the past. Can't wait to see this offense with the additions and his skyrocketing confidence.

Dez needs to tone it down little. I am all for having passion for the game but every catch doesn't have to result in a chest thumping spectacle. Save that for big playoff game TD catches.

I kinda agree he gets a little too hyped up at times even during games and I think it works against him sometimes. Love his passion but wouldn't mind seeing him tone it down a bit. It's important to keep your head in the game and not let your emotions get the better of you.

I didnt have a great team last year but I do have Dez and may just make him my keeper.

I couldn't disagree more. This team needs his passion.
