I think the ref in the gif blew his whistle after Columbo sent Hall flying. Notice he stepped out of the way then reached for his whistle.

That said, that's some funny stuff. Hall could've packed some luggage for how far he flew in the air.

Anyone here who thinks Hall is about to try to hit someone is either looking for more things to hate about Hall or needs to get their eyes checked. When have you ever seen someone jump straight up into the air when they are about to hit someone? Unless he is about to throw a stone cold stunner on Barber he is obviously just about to jump over the pile...

Hall was simply running to jump over the pile. Nothing more nothing less. Columbo just gave him a little redirection.

This happened in the 2nd quarter on a 3rd and long play where we dumped off to Barber. Obviously Hall is about to jump over the pile and Marc is standing there and gives him a little shot.

I know he wasn't trying to hit anybody but what's the point of jumping over the pile? What happens if Barber rolls to his right, or begins to stand up and Hall doesn't get enough lift? Heck it looked like he was about to hit his own player also. Columbo didn't know what hall was planning he just layed into him just to be safe.
