blocking.

that wasn't difficult at all.

So the difference in blocking between Bennett and Phillips is so vast that Bennett's inability to make any plays ever is unimportant? If Phillips started, could his blocking be that much worse?

Concur.

His on the field production hasn't been impressive, but the video itself seemed rather innocuous despite repeated attempts to bait him.

It doesn't really matter what he says. Once DC gets a vandetta against a player, whether right or wrong, you can expect to see posts like these at least once a week.
Or coach. ;)

But I agree.

It's funny how I've never been offended by his Twitter posts. Maybe because I don't read them. Now if Marty starts being offensive on TV or in the newspapers, that will be different.

I say again that most of this is simply the internet age. Imagine the tweets from Irvin and Harper and others if this had been around back then... White House FTW.

I actually watched the video.

he didn't say anything outlandish and the reporter was leading him the whole time. The kid isn't media savvy, but he was honest and didn't say anything negative at all.

dude you get a bee in your bonnet for players and just grind it into the ground. Marty B this time I see.

I guess Todd Archer has the same bee in his bonnet.

You are just unwilling to criticize anything about any of the players.

We get it. You're a homer.

And like I made him, within a three day time span, act a fool on Twitter and start talking about the coaches finding more opportunities for him in the offense.

"Some thing has got to change."

Plus giving Romo a nudge about not throwing any passes his way on Sunday after he works hard everyday in practice.

Some people still shoot the messenger.

So I made him act like this in the last three days?

I posted those things on Twitter for him?

I set up the interview with Steve Dennis?

I recorded the interview while I was over at Theebs house?

You sound stupid.

Bennett's point in the video was he wasn't called on to make plays. That's why he didn't make plays.

As I recal the two players played different roles in the offense this season. Phillips was more of an H-back, I think. So the results we saw from him shouldn't be expected once he has responsibilities of a true tight end.

Bennett is a great blocker with a really high ceiling. Absolutely no way do you take snaps away from him and give them to another guy who won't do as good a job most likely and never will have the talent.

Cut him.

If it were to become known that the team didn't want him anymore (as would obviously happen if they offered him up for a trade) nobody is going to be willing to give anything for a guy with a history of putting his foot in his mouth and 35 career catches.

Wait. You are not offended by his Twitter posts which you don't read?

That was a Wadeism.

Most people got what I was saying.

And I'm sure you do, too. But hey, it made for a great smiley opp.

Care to address the point about what the truly wild and lawbreaking 90s Cowboys tweets would've been like?

I love this guy.

He has the video or audio at times.

Yet he tries to spin things into what he thinks the players/coaches meant by what they are saying.

As if we can't all watch the video and see he said he thinks the coaches need to change things in order for him to get more opportunities.

And that he's frustrated by working hard all week in practice and not seeing any passes on Sunday.
:lmao2:

You give Cowboys fans a bad name bro.

I'm in that boat as well. He is immature. That happens with 23 year olds sometimes.

I think most 23 year old kids are pretty high on themselves. I hope he wakes up before his career passes him right by.

What is the relevance?

So if those guys in the 90's were idiots but we didn't know about it because of the lack of technology then these guys today should be allowed to be idiots and we should ignore the times that they are?

Yeah. As usual. You are a homer with the best of them.

:lmao2: at you telling others they give Cowboy fans a bad name. Still waiting for you to apologize for insulting the entire board during last season.

I posted on this issue fairly extensive in the last Marty B thread, so I won't labor the point here, but as someone younger than Martellus, I can vouch for the fact that at least part of his problem is "Stupid" not "Immature".

Bottom line is the kid has gone out of his way to be offensive to multiple groups of people, and disrespected his coach on national TV (that was definitely not just editing), and has underperformed as a player.

I feel like the principal at school that has to tell parents that "I'm sorry, this isn't just a phase all children go through--your son shouldn't be peeing in the corner of the classroom."

You clearly have an axe to grind with Marty and want to be able to lord over him your supposedly superior intelligence. Immaturity is simply stupidity that you grow out of. Young folks sometimes do stuff that is dumb and incredibly self-centered. For example, a few years from now when you are more mature, you'll realize how ****ing pretentious it is to have a Vonnegut quote as your signature.

I guess your point would be that I now have a vendetta against Martellus Bennett.

So that's why I posted this video. But we already know this would have been on here anyway.

You aren't seriously going to try and say that I only post negative videos and audio are you?

I mean this notion has been rebuked 1,000 times over before.

No, your real specialty is insulting members of this board.

Only the ones who can't get over the 'T.O. fan club' beatings I was handing out last year around this time.

And I guess that would include you.

The relevance is obvious. Plenty of those guys were much bigger problems than Marty B, but you didn't want to get rid of them. Why? Because you didn't know every detail about them like we can now.

Desean Jackson was supposedly acting a total fool on Ustream... Should the Eagles dump him, too?

Yeah. As usual. You are a homer with the best of them.
Have to resort to the lame "homer" bit, eh?

Yep, I've been a total homer about Bobby Carpenter, TO, Jason Garrett, Jerry, and tons of others.

I think we all wish every player were a model player like, say, Jason Witten. But that's just not realistic, and most people realize it.

Never wanted him or Roy, but once they became Cowboys I supported them. I did not look to beat them down in every post. You just come across as a bit arrogant for my taste. Especially considering your track record. We are all fans but I wish you would refrain from the generalizations you are prone to making. Maybe you could refrain from calling people stupid homers if the happen to disagree with your point.
