Very interesting, I would love to get some audio of that interview with Bill Parcells.

I don't know much about some of the other bigger markets but it is very interesting that Bill Parcells said this was his hardest job.

I have the whole interview with bill and laufenberg. I will upload it tomorrow when I get a chance, it is on an external hard drive somewhere.

I have put it up many times.

nope. I really only think there is one guy like him, that can coach all three aspects of the game and still be the figurehead, and that is belichick.

I think he was good enough to win at his age when we had him.

The problem was, this franchise was so poor he had to start from scratch.

he had to hire a staff, all of his guys were all tied up and he couldnt get any of them to come coach with him. So he had to put a whole new staff together. He couldnt come here and bring Dan Henning and mike pope with him, they were already employed.

He had to teach and coach the staff along with the players. Throw in Jerry in your ear all the time and that is alot to take on.

If we had in 04 what he had in 06 I believe we would have won at least the nfc one time before he left in the 4 years. But it took till 06 to get it there and by that time his style had worn everyone out, including himself.

In the end, the young players he brought on and developed turned out to be very good players, the coaches he brought in around him have turned out to be good coaches.

it shows what he was doing here worked, We just were hamstrung at qb till the end.

oh well, its over and as many people here have told me he is not that good and belihick made him anyway.
The only problem I had with Bill, is that I felt he became too conservative as he got older. If he would have opened things up I think we could have had more success. I will give him credit for one thing. He did a better job than Wade with less talent.

Theebs, I would really appreciate that. I think it would be interesting to hear Bill Parcells' comments a couple of years later.

Very true. Oddly enough we have the same QB coach.

I dont know how you think he's not taking responsibility. He's done nothing but that.

I do think he's playing scared though, with no confidence. He's scared of making the bad throw and costing his team, and in return, he's costing his team.

true IMO

fire Wade Wilsob QB coach

I do miss that guy!

Amen to that.

Thanks theebs.

I didn't hear him say it would be like he was never here, maybe that was in another interview?

But I think I remember hearing that he said that.

People went overboard after the Giants game saying he needed to protect the ball.

This is the result -- you have a QB who is playing with zero confidence and is afraid to make a mistake.

Just out there and sling it Tony.

How is wanting a guy to not turn the ball over 3 times in a game going overboard?

The QB needs to have pretty good protection of the ball while being able to be pretty good at beating defenses with his arm. If he can only do one or the other, there's usually a problem in the end. That's why it's the toughest position in the world. If Romo can only do one, then we've got problems. I doubt the Cowboys will trade Romo or draft a QB in the first round of the draft to take over, so my only hope is that this is indeed a coaching problem, although I've seen WR's open and Romo doesn't see them or misses them on the pass.

YAKUZA

Tony needs Kate Hudson's number. All of a sudden, A-Rod is clutch in October. There is hope fellas.

yea there is more to that interview, Cbs 11 since then have played more of it.

Plus he did a couple of interviews while he was at espn where he talked about it.

Its out ther somewhere if you search for it.

Let the excuses begin......

I know we dont have the best coaches.....but....

The players have to be accountable........we didnt see the coaches ruin Romo against Tampa......all we heard was.....Tony doesnt need TO....

Have the coaches ruined Ware, Newman....Spencer.....RW?......etc?

Can we just say.....the Players have to play better? Romo has to be more accurate....its hogwash to think those overthrown....underthrown...misreads are all because Romo has been asked to reduce his turnovers.

Newman failed to make a pass breakup......Spencer failed to pick off the pass.....Ware and others are just a step too slow....Romo has missed some easy passes....WR's are failing to beat there man.......etc.....etc....etc...

The were all in position to make a play......they failed to make it...and thats all on the players.

That's actually my whole thing.

Call me old fashioned, but I think you win and lose a team. SO far, that is exactly what this team has done. I think it's a mistake to pick out one or two people in this franchise to blame. They should all be in this together.

If they want to win, it's going to take all of them. And when they lose, it's because they all failed. I actually think the players understand that. I just don't think the fans do.

I think that had Parcells stayed here 2007 would have been a Super Bowl year.

imo, the organization already is at that point.

Almost all of the things parcells lived by and ran this organization by have been undone.

One of his best sayings was " I am not running a boys club here"
Which is what phillips and jerry have installed from day one.

anyway, I dont see anyway cowher would ever work for jerry. I just dont think with his background and blue collar ways he wants any part of jerry.

I wouldnt want to be around jerry if I was a big time head coach for a second. He is just one more element you have to manage on a daily basis.

IF Jerry can put his ego aside and wants Cowher, he will get him ($$$).

This is a disturbing trend over the last 24 games. If they players haven't faced themselves in the mirror and manned up by now then its not going to happen. It will take an authority figure to do that.

Impossible. If 12 years of futility hasn't dented Jerry's GM ego then nothing ever will.

The just go out there and sling it approach doesn't work either... Dallas doesn't win like that...

I'll look for it but the videos you provided were very good.

I wish Parcells was still here.
