I know we dont have the best coaches.....but....
The players have to be accountable........we didnt see the coaches ruin Romo against Tampa......all we heard was.....Tony doesnt need TO....
Have the coaches ruined Ware, Newman....Spencer.....RW?......etc?
Can we just say.....the Players have to play better? Romo has to be more accurate....its hogwash to think those overthrown....underthrown...misreads are all because Romo has been asked to reduce his turnovers.
Newman failed to make a pass breakup......Spencer failed to pick off the pass.....Ware and others are just a step too slow....Romo has missed some easy passes....WR's are failing to beat there man.......etc.....etc....etc...
The were all in position to make a play......they failed to make it...and thats all on the players.

Beast_from_East;3003392 said:For anybody that thinks coaching doesnt matter, just look at SF.
Singletary took over a team that has nearly an identical roster as the previous coach and it is like night and day. So yes, players do have to be held accountable, but to say coaching doesnt have a significant influence is just wrong.
If it is all on the players, then somebody please explain how SF was a trainwreck of a team and found ways to lose games every freaking week (sound familiar???) or they were just blown out and a new coach comes in and turns them into one of the best teams in the NFC with virtually the same freaking roster???
RoadRunner;3003349 said:I think that had Parcells stayed here 2007 would have been a Super Bowl year.
dbair1967;3003661 said:I think they'd have been 9-7 just like any other Parcells team.
He was done, it was time for him to go. He didnt have that "edge" any longer. People talk about this staff getting outcoached, but Parcells' teams were outcoached badly a bunch too, including that joke of a playoff loss to Seattle. That game shouldnt have even been close with the secondary Seattle trotted out there.
Chocolate Lab;3003707 said:I just looked it up, and anyone know what our records were in our first four games when Parcells was here?
2003: 3-1
2004: 2-2
2005: 2-2
2006: 2-2
And I'd bet those 2 losses each year weren't all to unbeaten teams, either.
So why are we panicking about 2-2, again?

However, Not a bad starting record for Ole Parcells with Carter, Vinny and Bledsoe as the quarterback.

I dont know if that is a shot at the front running fan base that declare superbowl after every TD, or the media that does the exact same thing, or the new me first ways of today's nfl players or Having Jerry around you all the time and having to let him know what you are doing and getting him on board with stuff.
I dont know. All I know is He isnt here anymore, and it is obvious from every aspect. I hope we can find someone just like him in about 3 months, But I am not holding my breath.
Cover 2;3003183 said:Coaches like him don't come around often. I just wish we could have had a younger version of him.
