Here's Jon Kitna talking about the work ethic that he's seen so far from the Cowboys and Roy Williams...

I think Roy is going to be fine in this offense. He's not some scrub off the street and I think we are going to see him do some great things on his 'run after catches'. The kid is a monster compared to some of these CB's and now he's healthy so he can break some tackles.

I know Kitna isn't Johnny Unitas, but he's head and shoulders better than Brad Johnson as the backup QB.

Brady Tinker is a terrible host. Every video he makes some bogus stat and pulls it out of thin air.

But i agree with Kitna. Coming mid-season is very difficult not to mention he was behind TO's spotlight and a very good option in Jason Witten. He's been good as a #1 reciever with Mike Furrey playing opposite him, so he'll do well. I'm not worried about him.

Terence Newman
Jay Ratliff
Andre Gurode
Marion Barber
Felix Jones
Mike Jekins
Orlando Scandrick

These 7 players are going to have a major say about the success of this team.

It's not just Romo, Witten, Williams, James, and Ware who are going to decide it, and it's not just those 12 players.

How Terence Newman isn't listed among the best players on the team is beyond me. Newman is a five star player, and NFL GMs know it. Jay Ratliff is headed in that direction. Andre Gurode is a 5 star player.

Edit:

Also, the Cowboys can acquire 3 or 4 impact players in the draft. A pass rusher, a NT, S, ,OG or a WR would or could get on the field.

How often is Terence Newman on the field or not one of the walking wounded? Believe or not, durability is part of being a "five star" player. He's no good to us if he's not on the field or can't perform at a high level on a consistent basis. His contract looked like a horrible investment last year and if things continue to go this way that'll prove itself true.

Some people (and I am not saying they are local media people in Dallas or anything, lol) call him Brady 'Stinker'.

Ya it's terrible. No credibility. It seems like they just pulled some anchor off CNN and told him "Hey go talk about the Dallas Cowboys"

Ah screw, the Mavs. They broke my Rocket heart last night. I do wish them luck against the Spurs, however. I hate them more than anyone else in the Southwest by far.

A very good point that Kitna brought up, that will no doubt help Roy as well. Is that in Detroit where losing has become expected, he is not used to guys working as hard as they do in Dallas this early, where anything but a Super Bowl victory is considered an unsuccessful season.

Like i've said before... Our players offseason workout should never be questioned.

Big Bill layed out the blueprint for offseason success here in Dallas.
