Towards the end of the game the announcers, Dick Stockton and Charles Davis, were talking about Kevin Ogletree and then Stockton said something about how the Cowboys coaches think all 5 of their WRs are gym rats who work extra hard.
I so respect Lomas Brown, but he is going by what he saw on the Lions. Not what Roy is today.

Besides, the ball was obviously not thrown correctly since he didn't catch it as Roy does not drop correctly thrown footballs - so the QB should pick it up and then apologize to him, of course.
The question posed was "does he need to put in a little more time?" In other words, work harder. Lomas' response was "he does."rocyaice;3058865 said:I don't think Brown questioned his work ethic. I think it was the whole didn't pick up the football when he dropped it.

I watched the game on Game Rewind last night. 8 passes were thrown Williams way. The first 2 hit him in the hands but not in stride. One was high, the other behind him. 4 others were not even close. He caught the 2 that hit him in stride and scored on one of them with 2nd effort. Even Dick Stockton and Charles Davis announcing the game made comments to those effect as the passes fell incomplete. One of the 4 not close could have been a miscue. Tony threw it as if he expected Roy to come back, Roy turned upfield.
I'll regret mentioning it, but they also talked about his downfield blocking on runs. As did Bryan Broaddus last night on dcfanatic's radio show.
Bottom line, as some posters have been saying all along, it is not all on Roy here. They both need to get on the same page. They don't even know why they aren't. But the ideas that this guy sucks are plain foolish. The ideas that he is a malcontent are even more foolish.
People are up in arms over nothing and the media is looking for every new angle so the fans can jump on the pile.

No one knows why. Roy and Tony don't even know why.Smith22;3059037 said:I'll agree that Roy does run block well. My question is, why is Roy the only WR that Romo seems to have chemistry issues with? They've had almost an entire year to figure it out. We've seen rookie WR's come into the NFL and produce right away without having the time Romo and Roy have had together.

They will get it worked out. In the meantime, both are more team oriented than I oriented. That is helping the team.
BTW, I don't think Tony's chemistry is all that great this year with Bennett or Witten either. I think his throws to them are sailing high and wide more than last year. Witten only has 1 TD in 7 games. Yet no one is up in arms about their chemistry.
I am not saying Romo is inaccurate. I am saying it factors into what is wrong that some of his throws to Roy are not on target.Hook'em#11;3059054 said:I still think it is more on Roy. Come on, This ain't Q. Carter throwing to him. It's Romo, the guy is accurate for the most part. I can see Roy's point if the other WR's, who weren't drafted highly, and don't have or had the "talent" that Roy has. If they were having issues with Romo as well. THen, he has a little more to stand on. But, it's only him. I agree, they both need to figure this out. But, Roy needs to shut up and just put it in gear.
I don't think the guy sucks. Not at all. Neither of them suck. All this chatter, no matter how it is taken, needs to stay IN HOUSE. The media doesn't need to know everything going on. You think the higher ups would of nipped this in the bud considering last season and all that crap that went on.

The announcers in the game brought it up during the action. It was going to come up anyway. In fact, isn't the latest theory that these comments by him were in direct response to baited questions about this? I am still curious why no one has these comments on video or audio anywhere, but that is neither here nor there.theebs;3059058 said:I am curious, does a few bad balls give him the right to point out the quarterbacks mistakes? Because I havent heard romo say one time what williams did wrong specifically, and its pretty clear he has made numerous mental mistakes.
So if romo always says we and team, why is it ok for roy to point fingers at romo? Cause I dont get that logic at all.
and throwing romo under the bus for last seasons failures two weeks ago on the hardline was pretty low. Yet I didnt hear a response from romo pointing out roy's flaws.
Why is it so hard to see that no matter whos at fault, roy shouldnt be so worried about protecting his own reputation and statistics. That is where this all comes from.
You haven't once said roy is wrong to keep passive aggressively blaming romo, which he has numerous times. I dont get it, you know better than that.
Had Romo responded to roys comments on the hardline with " I didnt throw him the ball because....reason xyz" WHat do you think roy's response would have been.
He needs to play well and stop alluding to the fact that it is on romo, all his troubles. The team needs him to become a better wr to win down the road. He should just not say anything.
cue the your a hater and the media made it up comments.

Neither Roy nor Tony are giving up. That is more important to me than whether the fans like what he said. I personally did not care for the comments (if they were actually said) but I also see them mixed in with a lot of comments about hard work, team first, and even some self blame from last week where he said "I was terrible." His comments have not been team shaking, nor did they seem newsworthy to me.
Certainly not to the tune of roughly 12 DFW media articles and 26 fan thoughts threads on what is wrong. Much ado about nothing.
