Lomas not a fan of Roy's practice habits.

Wait didnt Michael Irvin, Deon Sanders and Troy Aikman say the same thing about Roy Williams during training camp??

I understand some of the ball thrrown to Roy last week were not on target but whos fault is that exactly? Did Roy turn out when he should have turned in? I find it hard to understand how Roys throws are so off when the other recievers are not having the same problem.

From everything I read and heard, people were coming and going from his locker because he talked for so long, so it seems it was just by chance he wasnt on video saying it.

I hope your understanding what my problem is here. Its not about hate or anything like that. I dont think he is anything like buffalo bill.

However, he has to lose a little ego and not throw in those last comments. They cause trouble, romo and wade phillips had to be asked about those comments yesterday, thats not good.

Now once its a national story, True or not it doesnt matter. Now Roy is a percieved to be a problem. If we lose the next two games and he makes those comments again, he will cause as much a problem as the other guy.

My biggest problem with him is that he has to make sure and let the media know how good he is, I am not sure why he insists on that. If he is we will see it on sundays in the future.

Another thing about the guy that you dont see on tv. In the stadium when he feels he is open and the ball is thrown somewhere else, he is constantly throwing his hands up in the air and jumping up and down etc.....That is another form of showing up the qb.

he really needs to get in line because he is just another player here. I cant tell you how much it means that he got boo'd two weeks in a row at home, the crowd here does not boo players that often. He needs to be careful with what he says or not say anything at all, especially about the qb.
The only trouble I see is the kind being manufactured by media and fans. Where is this showing up as a team issue?

Every WR I have ever seen throws his hands up if he feels like he is open or a big play opportunity was missed. WRs are by nature always open. QBs get that. Tony has said he appreciates their confidence in their abilities.

I just think this is way overblown. Every reporter is amplifying that by saying he is NOT being divisive. The focus is too directed at the words said, and not the rest of the context, etc.

He said, "I am frustrated." But did he say it angrily? Was he accusing anyone? Or did he say he did not know why they aren't clicking? Did he express confidence that they would fix it?

To me those things are more important, yet they are being swept aside. I would love to go back and watch each game and focus on every pass thrown to him. I don't think his comment is wrong and I also don't think he leveled it solely at Tony.

That's where I think this stuff is overboard.

No one knows why. Roy and Tony don't even know why.

They will get it worked out. In the meantime, both are more team oriented than I oriented. That is helping the team.

BTW, I don't think Tony's chemistry is all that great this year with Bennett or Witten either. I think his throws to them are sailing high and wide more than last year. Witten only has 1 TD in 7 games. Yet no one is up in arms about their chemistry.

Yea no one mentions the chemistry between the tight ends either. Maybe because they're listed as tight ends but when Romo has gone Bennett and Wittens way he's thrown some qusetionable footballs to them as well. This is not a bash Romo campaign but I do think there's a bigger picture here than just Roy. No one brings that up though. Its always the success of Austin that derails any questions about is Roy and ROMO the problem.

If I'm not mistaken, Witten is right behind Austin for his completion percentage. So he is actually connecting with Witten. Now Bennett is another story. I wrote on another thread how Romo has been throwing to Witten, Austin, Crayton and Hurd for 4+ years and they know his tendencies and he knows theirs. Bennett and Williams haven't had as much one-on-one time like the rest of the guys. I could be wrong but I believe that's why we're seeing Bennett and Williams completion percentage way down compared to the rest.

I'm not insinuating that Witten and Romo are having as many problems as 9-11 are but i've seen those same ground footballs thrown to Witten. You atleast see 2 a game from Romo to Witten and that's odd for them. They're usually on the money together. The most visible one is the INT in the Giants game that hit Wittens heel and turned into an INT. Even last game there was some questionable ones there. And you're right. Romo has been with the other guys longers but Roy is a 1st teamer. 1st teamers practice with 1st teamers. So if anything it would seem like Roy would be money and Hurd and Austin would be the ones struggling. Not the case though.

just so i know - are you going to parakeet every hack-bucket reporter out there who doesn't like roy in it's own thread?

talk about agenda driven.

And who has the gun to your head telling you to come into these threads?

And if you noticed some other people besides iceberg like to watch the videos.

And when it's called iceberg zone then you can make the rules on what is posted.

And you really added to this discussion huh.

You only seem to post in the 'negative themed' threads also. You failed to post in the ESPN is using Roy quotes out of context thread.

I wonder why?

The only agenda around here is you wanting this place to be all about what you want to see.

It's past old at this point.

So just avoid these threads. It's not that difficult and it would save us all the three seconds of reading your irrelevant drivel.

Picking up the ball after you drop it in practice is something for mere mortals - not the ultra elite #1 WR that is Roy Williams. Besides, the ball was obviously not thrown correctly since he didn't catch it as Roy does not drop correctly thrown footballs - so the QB should pick it up and then apologize to him, of course.
Good one...

and if you noticed, a lot of people are tired of the roy flogging.

i'll save this for later. : )

in as much as any other anti-roy thread can really be considered a discussion vs. an agenda, sure.

You only seem to post in the 'negative themed' threads also. You failed to post in the ESPN is using Roy quotes out of context thread.

what's this again about who's making the rules of what is posted?

I wonder why?

The only agenda around here is you wanting this place to be all about what you want to see.

so is all the roy hate. also, what's this about who's making rules about posting? you can but i can't. got it.

So just avoid these threads. It's not that difficult and it would save us all the three seconds of reading your irrelevant drivel.

that would be an awful lot of threads to wade through, dude.

it would be a lot simpler if you just had I HATE ROY as a tagline or something and be done with it. how come you can't post both sides to the story?

and apparantely since you can't walk by an anti-roy article w/o posting it and going THERE - I TOLD YOU SO, you want this to be all about your hate parade too.

i'll avoid these threads when you quit posting them. deal?

you have your agenda, i have mine. : )

Maybe Tony is making this HIS team. If a player was on Landry/Staubach team wasn't doing what he wanted. Roger would literally fight him.

MAYBE Tony is training the dog Pavlov style.

I'm not convinced this is true myself, just a Jarv theory...

That old BS line about me having an agenda is useless. I post everything under the sun about the Cowboys.

One day I love Romo too much. The next I hate Wade too much. Then I love Bradie James too much. Then I hate Jerry too much.

:laugh2:

DFW Sportsbeat and Cowboys Insider are always positive and I post them every week.

If Roy would have been all over ESPN this week because he just had 10 catches for 250 yards that video would have been up just like the Austin vids were up.

Stop trying to be a super fan who only wants the 'good things'.

No one cares what you as an individual want. People can pick and choose what they take in on here. You seem to want to come into every thread that you wouldn't have started and say the thread isn't neccessary.

Try posting in some other threads with something of value.

Please. Do something else besides whining about what threads you don't like over and over again.

I honestly don't know much about Lomas Brown as a talking head, but why do you think he's a hack-bucket reporter? Also who do you think is a good reporter?

I happen to appreciate someone that will take the time to upload a video about the Cowboys that I missed. These things don't come free in New Jersey.

Good, bad, whatever... I love these videos.

for the most part i totally undersatnd that. it's just when you have 5+ threads on the page all bagging on roy, it's just very old.

i wish we had a "hate zone" so people could spew hate there and have fun with other haters. : )

:laugh2: Honestly I've been hoping for a Roy Williams Zone, but I guess since it's such a popular topic apparently, that people prefer for it to be in the Fan Zone.

i always wanted a dead horse zone for any topic that just gets ran into the ground. part of me agrees with dc that i can just bypass all the threads, but i suppose i post on them for the same reason they post hate about roy.

bugs us.

I guarantee you they know why, but won't say it.

If you watched the game again, did you see Romo talking to Wade on his way off the field after the last botched pass he threw to Williams? It looked like he was communicating his frustration over Roy, as if he were saying to Wade, "I'm not throwing to that guy anymore. He's useless."

Of course, that's pure speculation. But I'm positive they know why there's a problem with that connection but won't come out and say it in the media. (Lazy route running or bad habits or not understanding the plays or Romo not trusting him enough so his throws are way off.)
