I do hear that this kid Anthony Davis from Rutgers is falling and will be there at the #27 spot if the Cowboys are set on getting a guy to compete with Doug Free for the future at Left Tackle. And I guess he can always go to Right Tackle if Free wins the job,

Tyson Alualu. That's a kid who would fit right into the Cowboys defensive line rotation which would maybe send Junior Savaii packing. He's a guy who may be available in the late second round.

I don't think Brian Price will be available when the Cowboys pick at #27.

Brandon Spikes. Want nothing to do with him. He looks very very slow.

I just don't see us going o-line in the 1st round. It's either a safety or CB. We have 3 good CB's and 1 is 32 and has had injury issues in the past. I'm thinking either:

CB from Rutgers
Safety from South Florida

I dont care, if he slips to the 4th the Cowboys have to jump let alone the 5th or 6th like Kiper said.

Same here.

I'm obviously not a scout, but Brandon Spikes was a stand out player on defense just watching games.

I'm not one who lives and dies over 40 times, but there is an obvious concern there with Spikes.

Will his instincts overcome the stopwatch or not?

I trust Wade Phillips' opinion on linebackers, we'll just have to see what happens.

5th or 6th seems kind of shocking.

If he's there in the 4th, I'd have to agree. Too much emphasis is put on the 40.

I don't care about his forty time.

Just watch the video. He runs like an OL.

Reminds me of the 265lb Bradie James of 2006.

Our 3rd round pick is so late that I would use that to pick Spike.

People had him rated as a 2nd/3rd rounder on film. Must have been doing something right.

Broaddus just talked me back into taking him, lol.

Said he's having lunch with some Cowboys scouts tomorrow and had planned on asking about Spikes.

When he calls me I will relay any info I can on the subject.

If we're going ILB in the 4th why not go with a guy like this?

http://BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Iowa_logo.gif Pat Angerer, Iowa
Height: 6-0. Weight: 234.
Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
Combine 40 Time: 4.69.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.64.
Benchx225: 26. Vertical: 39.
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

1/8/10: You don't want to mess with a guy who is "more than anger." Projecting as a 4-3 middle linebacker, Pat Angerer garnered a whopping 135 tackles and four TFL in 2009.

2/19/09: Pat Angerer, a member of the All-Big Ten Second Team, collected 107 tackles, 6.5 TFL, three passes broken up and five intercepions.

I know it says he is projected as a 4-3 backer but I really think Wade could mold him. Reminds me of Brookings with his aggressive style.

Sweet. I'm interested to know what the team thinks about the guy.

i am not feeling o-line too unless iupati or one of the top 4 tackles fall to 27.I think a corner back or a safety is something jj feels comfortable with at that spot.

Looks to be too small, realize that Roy Williams the safety is bigger. Those are late round or free agent type numbers.

Next year I'm gonna keep my big mouth shut when somebody asks me who are my sleepers in the draft. Everytime I come up with them, all of the sudden EVERYBODY finds out about them. :D

I was hoping nobody would pay attention to Alualu and we can snag him in the 3rd round.

Give me an ILB that has great anticipation and reactions and instincts over a guy who has top 40 times and such but only has average anticipation and the rest.
