No dog in this fight, so I listened then wrote out what was said.

"Now I'm going to give Jerry credit where I think credit is due. As far as doing the duties as a general manager for aquiring player talent, absolutely give him credit, and he is probably the best, the scouting department is doing a good job, he's doing a good job listening to the scouting department, we're not in salary cap hell, we're able to keep our draft picks that, you know, are really making contributions to the team...those are evidence of good moves as a general manager..."

Now, I agree that it was not spoken as "JJ is the best GM in the NFL" word for word. That much is obvious. So if that's the debate, there is none, as those were not the exact words.

The body of the discussion is about JJ being the GM, and lists several examples of Jerry's moves as GM...which, to me anyhow, point directly back to "as far as doing the duties of GM for aquiring player talent....he is probably the best".

So, unless there was some creative editing, if I were someone listening to this...I would have to say the person making this statement is claiming Jerry Jones is probably the best at doing the duties of general manager.

Oh well, at least you avoid the *** kisser label.

Anyone who thinks I consider Jerry Jones the best GM in the NFL is high. I was clearly criticizing him before those comments and that comment is cut off. I doubt DC would cut out what I said to make me look stupid. If he did it's a great joke. Do I think the GM and Scouting department do a good job? I absolutely do.

42 of 53 roster spots look like they will be Draft choices or UDFAs meaning guys we have scouted. The team is not in cap hell. To me that is competent management.

Oh but I forget, Jerry is the ONLY reason this team has struggled. Hey, someone should put up a billboard.

I didn't bring it up gents. I'm just mocking the idea that anyone who agrees with me is kissing my trash.

I find that to be a cop out when you can't sway people to your bad opinions, but I'm honest like that.

I see a starting Pro Bowl type NT. And a starting LG. One from each draft.

Impact.

Where is the kicker for them who makes such an impact that they had to draft another kicker this season?

:laugh2:

I don't see too many of those backup players in the 2006 draft pushing for a starters spot. Wasn't that what MC was moaning about? Impact players? I'm sure if you go back far enough you can find another 1st round impact player. Kyle Boller?
