What I was thinking too. And I liked the Kiffin hire but I don't see anything but a man walking around (slowly) with a sheet of paper in his hands. I'm sure many 70 something men dont move nearly that well though.

C'mon guys. He has some pep in his step. He's on it. You can tell a few things by watching the clip. I like the professionalism he commands. And the attitude he brings to the team is nice. He's proven himself in the league.

Players see it who cares if some fan sees it. Kiffin system works along with Marinelli there defensive system helps create turnovers and have proven it over the years.

If players are buying into the system which it appears to be the case then who cares if fans see in a 3 min clip if Kiffin is animated enough for them. Here is a clue YOU DON'T PLAY, YOU ARE NOT THERE :laugh2:

The video posted doesn't show Kiffin looking animated at all. Not sure why you went into some strange tirade about what the players think?

Not in a tirade at all. Just because they talked about it did not mean ESPN was going to show it in their 3 min clip so I guess the issue is with ESPN and the title of their clip, they were reporting on the OTA the view of the players and those watching. Kiffin ability as a DC is something he has been very successful at along with Marinelli and if players are buying into it then it really does not mean a thing if fans buy into it since they don't play the game.

I agree with your point about the players buying in.. but it has ZERO to do with that clip. I was expecting to see Kiffin "being animated" instead I saw a guy that looked calm and not animated at all.

so then it is an ESPN problem, it is their clip and a 3 min clip is not going to tell you everything you want to know or want to see. If he is getting the players excited about what they are doing then great. After all his job is to coach players not fans.

I agree. I would be worried if Kiffin were playing but since his job is to teach his vast knowledge of the defense I'm pretty comfortable with Kiffin.

I'm also very comfortable with Kiffin. Mainly because he has Marinelli right there with him and Marinelli did an outstanding job with the Bears.

I'd guess that I've heard at least 15 different players and coaches all say the same thing about Kiffin; that he has a passion for the game has more energy than many men 20 years his junior.
Nevertheless, I'm glad he brought in Marinelli as well.

Idk about anyone else but that is exactly what I was referring to when I made my comment. I know kiffin will be fine, just saying that nowhere in that video did he look "animated".
