Romo made a GREAT effort and pass. Crayton dropped the ball...in more ways than one

How many big drops did brady have on his run to super bowls with his average wr's in the past? Excuses are for losers.

The worst play by crayton IMO, was in the last all importent drive, where Romo dumbs the ball in the endzone corner and it looked like Crayton stopped in his route... had he kept his speed, I believe it would be a TD.

(can't find the clip, but this is how I remember it)

I agree. Crayton makes that catch and that's highlight reel for the ages. He throws the ball sidearm and around Johnson who is leaping towards him and blocking his view after Romo had spotted Crayton and still hit's him in stride.

Amazing play indeed.

Agreed...that would've been like Alvin Harper's catch against the 49ers in the NFC Championship game back in '93.

That was a critcal drop at the worst time. Dallas is up by 3 and has a chance to take a 2 score lead on that drive but Crayton drops it and the Giants get the ball back and go on to score.

No more please, this is painful to watch. :tantrum:
You need to take that Avatar down, my knees are getting weak. ;)

Crayton should be replaced by one of these young guys on the team like Stanback or Austin - Austin the guy that was running wide opened down field for a TD (had he caught it had it been thrown, had someone blocked for Romo)

Crayton = Too slow for postseason play. He can get away with that against sorry teams.

Looking at that play, I almost forgot about the huge amount of duress Tony Romo was under, was able to scramble and "extend the play" as Ron Jaworski would say and Patrick Crayton just drops it.

Tony Romo just smiles after the drop which I am sure is the exact opposite of what all the fans did :laugh2: .

Wonder what he was saying to that ref.....

"Can you believe he dropped that )#*$&#@)(%*$ ball???"

Yeah, I am watching that play right now and yes he dropped it but Gibril Wilson was all over him on that play.

Troy Aikman was saying, maybe if he throws the ball a little bit further out, Fasano catches it.

It definately wasn't as bad as the Crayton drop.

If Fasano comes back toward the ball he puts himself in better position to catch it and Wilson in worse position to stop the catch. You have to help the QB out sometimes and come back to the ball.

My list:

Crayton, Reeves, Garrett, Wade, o-line, Romo, Henry, refs.

Well...mine:

#1 Patrick Crayton----obvious reasons...those 2 drops were humongous. :(
#2 Jacques Reeves----I don't think he has what it takes to be a consistent cover-corner in this league. He gets consistently picked on. Releasing Aaron Glenn was foolish.
#3 Offensive Line----they didn't block the run and they didn't give Romo ANY time at all in the entire 4th quarter. A pathetic effort.
#4 Anthony Fasano----he drops a sure TD....I mean, come on. It hit him right in the chest. How can you say that's excusable because he was fairly well covered? It went right through his hands, hit him in the chest, and bounced away. If he makes the catch we're up 21-14.
#5 Refs----several penalties absolutely killed us...couple questionable ones among them. Also, was I dreaming or did anyone else see the Giants O-line holding all day long and later in the game knocking Tony Romo down to the turf well after he had thrown the ball?
