White Helmet with the blue star in his locker.

Are we wearing the throwbacks this week? I hadnt read that yet this week.

Steve Dennis keeps calling Romo "Big Name, not Big Game" on cbs 11. He asked about 10 questions here. Romo must want to punch him in the face. I would.

I don't think I've ever heard Tony this determined/annoyed ever, and I watch as many Cowboys interviews as I can.

I love it. Sounds like he's fed up with the bull he's had to hear all week and can't wait to shut up his critics Monday night.

Look out, Carolina. :starspin

I don't think Romo looked annoyed. He did look determined and level headed. As a Cowboys fan you have to like that.

Romo had a bad game. It's not his first and it won't be his last. The thing that I think a lot of people worry about is Romo (or the entire team, for that matter) going into the tank after a game like last week. This interview looks like a glimpse into the notion that it simply won't happen.

I like Romo's mindset. He stated that his goal was to have 16 good games (a goal he, himself, stated wasn't realistic). But, with one bad game in the books, his goal is now 15 good games. He's not scrambling to answer questions, nor is he sheepish about what he failed to do last week. The game is behind him and he's looking forward. At this point in the season, it's all we can ask after a poor performance. Now, we wait and see if it translates to the field. Encouraged, of course.

I can't remember Romo having 2 really poor games in a row. Each time he's had a tough one he comes back and has lit it up pretty good. That is a good sign! He is resilient. Maybe too much so, since the gunslinger comes back hehe.

Im not hating on steve dennis. Just simply saying he has been running around on tv and radio calling tony big name not big game.

I know romo hears that, and it must drive him nuts.

If it does, Romo does not need to be the QB of the Cowboys.l

Romo has his mind togeather...he really does. You can't dwell on the past.

Today is the tomorrow that we worried about yesterday.

I liked what I heard from Tony. I do think, however, the questions about his play were stupid from this standpoint, and the answers were a bit softball from this standpoint.

The question is not whether QB's have bad games during the course of a season. The question is why so many of his seem to be coming when, at the very least, the public perceives it as a statement game of some sort. That is the question and that is what I would have enjoyed hearing him answer about.

Why THESE KINDS OF GAMES? The truth is, he has beaten the Giants and alot of other good teams in the regular season, and I don't think that question can be put to rest until we get much further into the year, and then into the playoffs.

I think he seems much more determined, much more serious, and much more an example of what a lot of us wanted to see from him in previous years.

I liked this a lot and I look forward to Monday night. Go Tony! Go Cowboys!

Are we going to post about how stupid we all were yesterday for saying TR was pouting and avoiding the media? Or do we dig our feet in the ground and stand by our argument because the interview happened on a Friday and not a Wednesday? I'm thinking we stand our ground. How 'bout you guys?

I can't figure out why Jimmy recommended a different game plan to RJ... His O is one of the tops in the league.

His offense IS one of the tops in the league. Cut out the turnovers and we are 2-0, and I'm betting on a 3rd good game this Monday.

Meanwhile, Lab, what Garrett represents for you, Wade Phillips represents for me. I literally get ill when I see the guy on the sidelines. Phillips I mean.

What the hell? Garrett doesn't make me physically ill. That's ridiculous. What a silly thing to say.

Well while Romo has rebounded well after huge losses and horrible games it's not the offense I'm worried about it's the defense....an offense that scores 31 points should put games away..but yah...we'll see, dam that Steve Smith...bet he can't wait till Monday:bang2:

Why THESE KINDS OF GAMES?

Why? Because the media likes a story. They'll create one, even if all the pieces don't fit. The problem is, they reinforce into the minds of the public what they want them to believe. On a more global scale, this technique is more commonly known as propaganda. Most people don't have time to analyze all of the facts, and call into question this perception. Romo has "won" a lot of "big" games. But somehow, people tend to only remember those he loses and then assume he can't win them, as if he's solely responsible for the inability of the defense to stop a team, or whatever else isn't directly related to him. An image, that for some unknown reason, is inculcated in the minds of people, due to the fumbled snap in Seattle, as if that had anything to do with QB play. Maybe people should think about what the media says and assess them more critically, because if they don't, the media will keep pounding it into you until you believe it, whatever agenda it is that they have.

True, but you forgot to mention the 24pts that was given away by the offense. It's hard to win with 4 Turnovers.

Your right Romo has rebounded after a huge/horrible loss. Tony has rebounded the Playoff loss to the Giants by beating the Browns the next season and came back from the 44-6 loss by Beating the Bucs this season.
(sarcasm off) To win in the playoffs you have to be consistant, cause there's no second chances after a playoff loss.

The one thing that "TRUELY" ticks me off about Romo, is that he talks about "taking care of the ball", "getting in sync with the WR's", "improving". Wasn't this the talk all offseason? Please correct me if i'm wrong.

It started looking good (kind-of) after week 1. Then, week 2 he reverts to the same ol' Romo. It's hard for me to trust this guy til' he consistantly proves it on the field, cause right now his words runs hollow.
