Just a side note, but somebody with some technical aptitude needs to develop a dcfanatic dialectizer. Like the one they did with for the Swedish chef. Needs to insert 'lol' and laughing and headbanging smileys into a posts in a more or less random manner.

An occassional Wade-rant and an indignant defensive outburst or two would be cool, too, but not really necessary. Bork! Bork! Bork!

:lmao2: Too funny. Can't wait to pull out the "Bork! Bork! Bork!". :D

A reporter should be all about making sure both sides of a story are told (if there is another side- serial killers and the like are one sided for sure)
and should be fair. Edward R. Morrow wrote a book about how to be a reporter. The fact that 90% + of all media types TODAY are total slime bags, hacks, ****** and otherwise dog dung should not matter.
Not surprising that no media types (including the one in this thread) do not see it that way. Not surprising at all.

Murrow died in 1965.

You should get the point, but you probably won't.

In the future, just post news clips that flatter the team. You'll forfeit integrity, but you'll find life around here a lot easier, and no one will impugn your "motives."

From now on I am going to end every video with 'Jerry is a great guy!'.

And great news on the production side too.

CowboyMike is coming over on Thursday for tea and crumpets.

He's going to teach me how to make classy videos and audio files.
:lmao2:

Optimists forfeit integrity. Interesting way to go through life.

We'd find things to make fun of dc for, though, lol.

Or he could just wear a blindfold and spout pro-Dallas platitudes. Be a sport and lend him yours.

Spouting pro-Dallas platitudes on a Cowboy fan site? We'll have none of that!

We're all eyes-wide-open and butt-hurt around here. Regardless of how good the team is or whether or not it's capable of contending. It's this kind of trenchant pragmatic realism we're famous for.

Are you talking in general, or this clip specifically? I don't see anything in this clip that requires dcf to attack Roy at all. I mean you must be living in sensory deprivation tank to NOT understand Roy's point about the media twisting things to his personal detriment.

And its not just the local media, when a well known national guy does not do his proper due diligence and misrepresents a NON-story (Roy NEVER lifted weights) and the locals (yes, it is now plural) continue to peg Roy with the unflattering "coachable" adjective EACH AND EVERY time they report on him, it is a media created distraction. It is not about having homer glasses or being polyanna, it is about journalistic integrity.

Disparaging people for demanding fairness, demanding professionalism, is not a worthy stance IMO. And Murrow might have lived in another era but his words & impact are timeless, even wannabes should know that.

Boo hoo hoo, the media is mean to the Dallas Cowboys.

No wonder the team can't survive in December.

I know most of the media by now and they laugh at the idea that they are a bigger opponent to the team than the other NFC East teams.

It's amusing to them. Just listen to the radio or read their articles.

The Dallas Cowboys have been known as a soft team for years now.

That's not going to change with players talking about having their words twisted or talking about being portrayed for someone that they are not.

It's only going to get worse.

In the NFL the meek don't survive, they flop in December.

:lmao: :laugh2: :laugh1: What does this rant have to do w/the point that is trying to be made here? I as a fan, could care less if the Cowboys are media sensitive (well maybe I care a little :D), but I do care that the media coverage is fair and properly researched.

The cheap schticks fabricated to simply gain attention, I can do without.
